Karius got a rating of 4.4 in the final. Whoscored deemed Karius, with 2 absolutely dodo bird errors, to have had a better match than De Gea.

This is the WORLD CUP ffs if it still means anything. Terrible performance in the most important group stage game for his team. He cost them 2 points.

What I saw today and in CL this year says a lot about him.

He makes rather schoolboy errors too. Its inexcusable for a so called elite GK IMO.

It reminded me of England GK's error(Green i think) against USA in 2010 and he got absolutely smashed for it. His career ended there.

I can guarantee he's made far less errors than probably every other elite GK combined over the last 5 years lol. He had a bad game today and people are rightfully getting digs in but if you don't have an agenda/trying to rustle me and genuinely think he isn't the best in the world then you're a numpty. One of the most consistent GK around, constantly pulling off ridiculous saves in the GOAT league.

He has also only played just the EPL and no elite games outside of it in the past 15. Saving shots from Stokes every weekend, gtfo

Neuer earned his ranking in bundi, CL, and world cup
Buffon before him the same, series A, euros, CL, world cup

Spot on Nick. People should stop ratng players that are in the EPL as "world class" or some random tier 1/2 class. Being the 3rd best league in the world, it makes no sense claiming such things, wich is always proven in the European competitions and world cup.

Not surprising, Karius made some good saves before the concussion. De Gea didn't make a single save of note all match.

De Gea for Spain is not the same as De Gea for Man United

it's like with Ter Stegen, or Sané

doesn't mean he sucks, obviously, he's a top keeper. He's just struggling with concentration playing for a team with all that possession. At Man Utd he's busy all the time stopping poverty shots, and he's not used to his team controlling the game.
