you need a good cb par like manu has rio-vidic or milan nesta-silva.Your defense would be the last thing i would care about if we were to face Madrid again.

People can disagree as much as they,but pepe-carvalho doesnt cut it.

the midfield is the problem, not the defense. Too much focus on either attack or defense, while barca strength is the middle, and we are trying to bypass it

I don't our defense is that bad, Carvalho is just too old and Varane needs more experience. But Man United's defense wasn't much better against Barca

Di Maria didn't do shit.
Kheidra had a terrible game.

Coentrao played well but I noticed he gave Pedro to much space.
He played alot better when he shift to the midfield.

Ronaldo would honestly piss me off at times. All he did was ridiculous step overs and lose the ball every time. Dani Alves made him his bitch.

Carvalho played. that was the problem. ramos played at rb. that too was a problem.

We needed ramos at the centre not the wing. arbeloa shud have played and ramos in cb. Mourinho I feel messed up bad in the selection for the field.

Midfield wise.... wut nick said somewhat.

and we dont take our chances at front.

its a garbage cup afterall, its nothing else but glorified pre season game.

of course its honor and its important as a show of improvement to win against them but take into consideration that we are getting closer.

our in ability to score more in the bernabeu, and the luck those faggets had in the bernabeu helped them so much that i cant even believe it

Another problem is that, despite Benzema playing well these days, he still bottles crucial chances and I've noticed him having gaps in concentration when it matters. You can deny it all you want, but that's a fact Smile

ill just restate a post i said somewhere else i forget

goal1: ramos is in no mans land.. what are you doing? kept iniesta onsides by a mile with all the room in the world

goal2: carvalho moved about as much as a traffic cone to stop messi

goal3:ball watching on all accounts- team fail.

that said i have no regrets blaming the first 2 goals on our defense.. though our midfield was quite non existant tonight anyways so it didnt help.

Now, list who's responsible for all of our missed chances and how they managed to miss them Thumbs up

We need Higuain to get back into form. Right now, we're missing efficiency up-front.

this thread is just focusing on the wrong issue, as always.

first we blame casillas, then the defense.

but no one talks about the midfield, where you actually win and lose games, oh well.

i agree, benzema was a ghost for most of the game, higuain came on and didnt really make an impact

and again like the first leg i feel like we could have put this game away early, but we wasted chances and allowed barcelona the space to develop their game

good and poor play on all areas of the field for us tonight.

Some people here are unbelievable. one game you praise the defence and are content its one of the best D's in the world and once we lose a match you start dissing them. Midfield is key, when there is no link up between the D and midfield then there wont be any solid play. similar to how there was no link between the midfield and attack. The first leg proves this, we dominated and over ran them in the midfield and so we won the link from D to attack and vice versa.
