CRISTANTE HAS ROMA MEDICAL

Atalanta midfielder Bryan Cristante is having a medical ahead of his proposed move to Roma.

Roma tweeted a series of photos of the 23-year-old, including one of him posing with a club scarf and another during his medical tests.

The accompanying caption read: "Bryan Cristante undergoes his medical this morning at Villa Stuart".

Cristante, who scored nine goals in 36 Serie A appearances last season and three in eight Europa League games, is reportedly joining the Champions League semi-finalists in a deal worth up to €30m.

The former AC Milan trainee earned his first Italy cap in October and has since made four more international appearances.

SUNDERLAND AGREE N’DONG FEE

Sunderland have agreed a fee of £6.6m with Torino for midfielder Didier N’Dong.

However, Sky Sports News understands the Gabon international is currently struggling to agree personal terms with the Serie A side.

N’Dong, who spent the second part of last season on-loan at Watford, is Sunderland’s record signing at £13.6m.

There’s also been interest from Atalanta and Amiens in the 23-year-old midfielder.

i mean how bad must it be to play for torino that you would be happy to move to sunderland ffs.

REAL TO BEAT BARCA TO RODRYGO?

Real Madrid could pip Barcelona to the signing of Brazilian starlet Rodrygo Goes, reports Globoesporte.

Barca have been tracking the teenage forward for well over a year and offered Santos €30m to secure his services.

However, Globoesporte claim European champions Madrid have blown their domestic rivals out of the water by offering Santos €45m and a further €7m to the player.

Rodrygo’s buy-out clause at Santos – the former club of Neymar – is set at €50m.

DIGNE MAKEWEIGHT FOR THIAGO RETURN?

Barcelona could include Lucas Digne as a makeweight in their bid to bring Thiago Alcantara back to the club from Bayern Munich, reports Sport.

Thiago is available for transfer this summer and various Barca players have asked club president Josep Maria Bartomeu to re-sign the 27-year-old.

Bayern were initially considering seeking a fee of €70m for the playmaker, but they are aware they may have to lower their demands.

The Bundesliga champions are willing to accept France defender Digne, who is valued between €15m and €20m and is also wanted by Juventus, as part of the deal.

SUSO TO SPAIN?

Atletico Madrid have contacted former Liverpool winger Suso over a possible transfer, reports Cadena SER.

The AC Milan forward was wanted by Inter Milan and Tottenham last summer but is now a firm target for Europa League winners Atletico.

Suso is reportedly flattered by the interest, but he has also received offers from elsewhere.

The 24-year-old is under contract at Milan until 2022 with a €40m buyout clause.

UNITED’S FELLAINI HOPE

Manchester United remain hopeful of keeping Marouane Fellaini despite the player expressing his desire to leave the club, according to Press Association Sport.

The Belgium international is out of contract at the end of this month and his five-year stay at Old Trafford looks to at an end.

However, United are understood to be readying a renewal offer in a last-gasp bid to retain the 30-year-old’s services.

Juventus will reportedly send scouts to the World Cup to evaluate CSKA Moscow and Russia midfielder Aleksandr Golovin.

The 22-year-old has already been linked with Arsenal and Monaco, and has been included in the host nation’s squad for the World Cup.

Today’s Corriere dello Sport reports that the Bianconeri are also following him, and will send observers to the tournament to watch him.

MANCHESTER United fans across the world were ecstatic Wednesday morning with the news that a player they first heard of yesterday, had finally signed for the club.

Google search results for “who the *bleep* is Diogo Daot” rose sharply yesterday, approximately 35,000%, but United fans were quick to display an array of knowledge about their new Portuguese signing, entirely limited to his Wikipedia page.

MAN UTD-BOUND FRED SUFFERS ANKLE INJURY

Brazil midfielder Fred has suffered an injury scare just one week before the World Cup in Russia gets under way.

Fred is on the cusp of a move to Manchester United, who announced earlier this week they had reached an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk to sign the 25-year-old for a fee reported to exceed £50m.

Brazil team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar said: "Today Fred had trauma in his ankle but it is too early to say anything about it.

"Tomorrow we watch to see what happens and then decide if we need to do any exams or not but at the moment it is too early to say anything about him."
