Again, not no say. Just one voice and not the deciding one. He obviously can't veto anything given what happened last summer and how much those players mattered this season.... I mean, you don't have to be a Rhodes Scholar to just look at the facts in front of you.

Out of Ceballos, Vallejo, Llorente, Joselu and Ashraf.... did any of them play unless there was absolute necessity and even then? How can you say any of them were Zidane transfers when he didn't trust them to tie their own shoelaces?

Yeah, Zidane had a say in transfers, was not the definitive say but he had one and definitely had more than any other manager bar Jose which was stipulated in his contract.

Also, do not believe this one at all Sports especially since Zidane himself actually gave a quote on his decision to leave.

I made the decision to step down. I know it’s weird, but this team needs a change to keep winning, they need a different perspective, a different way of doing things and that’s why I decided to leave

All his words. And the fact Perez actually looks honestly distraught by this decision tells me this had nothing to do with inner politics which Zidane can easily navigate and more to do with Zidane's own personal feelings.

Moreso Doc... Zidane didn't want to put himself in conflict with Madrid or Flo ever.... so he pre-preemptively decided to leave.

There are guys who speak to Zidane every week and talked to him after the CL Final... and they were shocked (Karembeu for example). Even more shocking than the news itself.... is how quiet is was.

And yeah, you would think this favors Bale.

Who knows. First off, we need a manager lol. We have no idea what the plan will or could be before that.

Sure but all we have is his words and from face value, his decision wasn't based on inner politics. If there is more to it, maybe Zidane would tell us another time but this is all we have to work with. I still don't believe your insider, at all and I love conspiracies.

Also, yeah, this actually works for Bale and even the likes of Ceballos and Llorente. Maybe. 34% sure of the latter.

Nowhere in that article does it say that it's a done deal. We all understand that it's the most likely outcome but don't make it sounds like it's a given, it's not, and that article in no way confirms it's done

That doesn't say the deal is done. It says the deal is in negotiation phase- Madrid want 16m and Betis want him back for less. It goes on to say that Ceballos has made it clear he wants to return to Betis, but this was obviously published prior to Zidane stepping down.

It is certainly not official yet, and given this morning's events I'd say we should wait until we get some official news. For Ceballos or any player at the moment.

It was 2 weeks ago Deez, before CL final. There was another article the day after that the deal was agreed.

Not that it matters (it totally does) but even when deals are agreed before the transfer opens, it is always reported. Seeing as there is no official response from either Betis or Madrid, gonna assume that things are still up in the air.

I am sure there are negotiations taking place and he'll end up leaving (as with Llorente) but with Zidane gone, things are quite different.

As i said, i think Perez will go after a "fresh" and "attractive" coach that people can be both excited and confident about and i also think that Raul could be included in the coaching staff similar to Zidane with Ancelotti so that Raul can learn and help in the dressing room, and it would also be a good PR move.

I wonder what are chances of Pochettino coming, as for Low and Lopetegui i would imagine it'd be easy for them to come if they wanted to and we want them.

It wasn’t just a prediction, it was more insight of how Flo thinks. I remember Wenger being heavily linked with us in the past but I don’t see it happening unless Wenger gets fluent in Spanish

3rd in La Liga (atleti are a better team imo)
CL QF or SF exit
Win CDR (because I think our backups will be playing well under new system and allow us to go deep)

This is based on our current squad... will update if things change.

Don't expect much. We're getting older.... and it being a WC year makes it that much harder on older players.

Neymar is going nowhere this summer. That's a pipe dream Let's not act like Barca did in trying for Silva and Verratti... just to have it backfire big time. PSG won't be forced into anything.

Veratti was content with filling his pocket and falling off the radar. Neymar is the poster boy of Brazil. He'll never let the same fate of Veratti happen to him. Neymar is 26yo he knows the longer he stays there the lesser chance there is of him leaving. We are the only team that can afford him

As for the other hyped players. Werner has been meh, Mbappe has been meh, Salah hasn't even played the rest don't excite me
