PSG are bracing for FFP rekting them this summer, to Buffon on a free is a prime target for them. they see it as a way to sign a short term keeper circa world class until they can spend freely again

If Man U had gotten Buffon, he would be the instant captain too. In fact, other than Madrid, Barca and maybe Bayern, I don't see any club where he wouldn't be the captain.

Silva never deserved the captaincy and has only kept it because there was literally nobody else that deserved it either.

Assuming De Gea wasn't there and Buffon would come in as the regular, he would be captain... absolutely no doubt.
