Fans attack Sporting's players & staff during training

Sporting's situation this year is complicated. Iirc the president straight up insulted a bunch of the players in the media before the EL match didn't he? it caused a circus

Yeah. Here is the story:

The team was doing poorly in a run of games in the league, then went to Atletico and lost. The president insulted the players, naming a bunch of them, on facebook after the game finished.

A bunch of the players signed a message on instagram against the public insult.

The president retaliated by suspending all 19 players involved (the whole first team).

Then a back and forth started where the suspension seemed to have been lifted, but the president called it a rebellion.

Actually after that they won a bunch of games, including against Atletico but lost on goal difference. Still it wasn't enough to make CL.

So the atmosphere has been a circus for a while. Now the fans attacked the team like proper animals, and some players are said to leave immediately. Which damages Sporting even more.

I got a feeling Beppe is behind this more freebies.

Gelson Martins is a great pick up for free. Tons of teams should be after him.

Rui Patricio is already joining Wolverhampton it’s almost official.
