No it was more the fact they were out numbered quite considerably and the situation was growing out of hand, they looked pretty nervous tbh.

The fans that had travelled over there throwing shit and hurling abuse at police are absolute scum though, being drunk is no excuse.

Not trying to claim Man City fans were blameless or anything, just pointing out that yeah they were outnumbered obviously but they also kept breaking ranks and doing other stupid shit that turned a bad situation worse
