Roma are progressing rapidly in their negotiations for Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet with a €28m offer, it’s reported.

The Belgium international just turned 24 and has been in Serie A for two seasons.

He is also of interest to the likes of Juventus, Inter, Everton and West Ham United.

However, according to Genoa-based Primo Canale, Praet would prefer Roma and the talks have kicked up a few gears over the last few days.

The offer on the table is worth €28m, almost three times what Samp paid to get him from RSC Anderlecht in 2016.

i told you every transfer window frenzy comes up with these big names that will sign for manure and they end up with scrubs like fellaini and sanchez. i expect much of the same this window tbh. might see jose drop £65 mill on some 75yo CB but thats about it tbh.

that's a good point. Signing Can is smart business. Been disgusted at the prices being quoted for unproven players. Of course we contributed to that being the norm.
