I think Dybala will make it, Icardi won't though
Higuain should also be there but I wouldn't be surprised if he also does not make it

Higuain missed a number of chances vs Spain in the first half so the Argentine hate brigade is after him again, not unjustifiably

1 chance which is still too much but meh, he's still a tremendous player. I'm not just saying this because he plays for Juve but because he plays for Juve, it's easier to appreciate him. He honestly, at times, gets a similar amount of hate from Juve fans as he does by Argentina fans. It's kind of lame, if we lose, it's his fault. If we win, it's not only because of him.
I still think Argentina is better with Higuain on the team, certainly over some of the other options. And Dybala is a must bring, even if he's not starting, it would just be sad to leave such a talent at home. Cassano-esque

Higuain is a twerp Aguero should be starting ahead of him if they play with one striker

What difference does it make when Argentina will lose in the R016 to La Blanquirroja

Or, they could have fielded a better team instead of blaming it all on Messi's absence/Higuain's one missed shot

I'm not blaming Higuain for the loss to Spain. They'd have lost even if he converted his chance. I just think that Aguero is better and more reliable in general. Also has better chemistry with Messi. Higgy might be great in Serie A but tbh anyone can shine in that leauge. I don't rate him that high
I agree that the problem is not in the striker department, however, since they are a mess overall. They'll probably get past the group stages since they have Croatia, Nigeria and Iceland but I can't see them going far in the knockout stages
Especially if they play Mascherano in midfield, then I will root for them to crash out lol

If they even come that far. You should prepare for Croatia or Nigeria IMO.

Re: Spain are back
Germany lacks scorers... and Brazil's defense is anchored by Silva lol. He's paired with Miranda.
Silva falls apart almost EVERY TIME if the pressure is too high.
I'm also not convinced of the quality of Paulinho, Fernandinho, etc. Wonderful fullbacks and attack though. that's not enough in WC however. You need the midfield and defense to be solid.

Our defense is the best part of our team. You're looking at individual players, but defending doesn't work like that. The problem is that shit on a stick midfield that we have. They're great defensively but terrible at creating anything. I think we have a chance against more talented teams if we play on the counter though. That being said, I'd put our chances behind Spain, Germany, and France.

Germany lacks nothing. WC 2018 basically confirmed. Mario Gomez great, great goalscorer.

Re: Spain are back
1. Germany
2. Brazil
3. Bookies say France but you could make a case for Spain
Gone are the days of legendary flawless midfield control but there is a new fervor of pace and youth that compensates to a small extent. Good job done by Lopetegui so far but the real test is still to come.

Prior to Perucho signing up for GL I couldn't care less one way or the other about Peru, but now I really want to end them in the WCPerucho21 wrote:What difference does it make when Argentina will lose in the R016 to La Blanquirroja
