The best thing ever, only way it can get better is if he comes out and hits Reigns with the belt.

For the last few years I avoid the internet, download Wrestlemania and watch it spoiler free. This year I just could not see myself getting through 7 hours of wrestling so just gave up. Judging from the reports I think I saved myself 7 hours...

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
I lost interest after Strowman revealed his tag partner. I didn't have it in me to watch that match and the Lesnar/Reigns snoozefest that they put last for some inexplicable reason.
I thought the show started off strong but got weaker as the night went on. I had no investment in any of the storylines going in but even I could tell some of the decisions on the night were weird.
Like, what's the point of building up someone like Asuka with a long undefeated streak, only to feed it to Charlotte, who didn't need a win of that significance at all? Why would they not capitalise on how insanely over Rusev is and let him win the US title? Did we need to see them rehash Daniel Bryan's last Mania match?
As for the matches I managed to watch:
Miz/Balor/Rollins - great fun, the three guys had excellent chemistry. Liked how Miz sent his entourage away and fought like a savvy vet compared to Balor/Rollin's more explosive styles.
Charlotte/Asuka - a really strong match, though I had no idea who the face/heel were from the match alone. Weird and cringy ending aside, I enjoyed it.
Orton/Mahal/Roode/Rusev - not as strong as the first two, didn't think there was much chemistry between them. At least it was relatively short.
Rousey & Angle vs Triple H & Stephanie - blew my expectations out the water. They told a story perfectly, and Rousey was really impressive. I got a very classic, WWF vibe from it; not much in the way of flashy and dangerous spots, but great psychology and fun twists.
Smackdown Tag titles - Meh. Had no interest in two of the teams whatsoever. Appreciably short.
Taker/Cena - Cena getting squashed was far preferable to watching Taker in a long match.
Bryan/Shane vs KO/Zayn - Decent match, maybe a little too predictable. Didn't expect anything else given it was Bryan's big return.
Nia Jax vs Alexa Bliss - Not as strong as the other women's match. By this point I was flagging anyway.
Styles/Nakamura - This one played out a slower pace than I anticipated. I appreciated that they sold an injured back/knee throughout, and I did enjoy the Kinshasa being countered into the Styles Clash. Arguably though, the highlights were Nakamura's entrance and heel turn.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
My opinion was I mostly enjoyed the matches except Bliss and Jax, if it weren't for some stupid decisions around Asuka and Rusev I'd think quite highly of the show tbh
As much as one can for a 5 hour show anyway, the reality is no WM can actually be a great show anymore tbh as they are far too long and bloated for it.
But we say this every year, I did kind of like how little nonsense there was this year though.
Didn't stay up for Brock and Reigns though, I'm in shock to read Brock won mind lol.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Charlotte/Asuka actually ended up being my favorite match of the night. Great stuff honestly. I have zero problems with it being Charlotte ending the streak. The prevailing theory is that this sets her on a course with Rousey for WM 35 as well as a potential main event. Looking at it that way, it certainly makes sense, even if I wouldn't have minded seeing Asuka take on Rousey in that match.
Reigns/Lesnar would've been slightly less worse if Lesnar hadn't retained the title after all those F5s. This match displayed just how limited and 1D he can be.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Just watched it now. Somehow got away without being spoiled.
Agreed with the opinions on Charlotte/Asuka. That was a fantastic match and probably one of the best of the night. Didn't see Asuka losing coming
I didn't like AJ/Nakamura that much. Not sure Nakamura has had great matches since he has debuted. Nakamura's entrance was nice
Rousey absolutely killed it. She was amazing. Steph played her part great too.
Lol Cena-Taker. I actually thought the entire segment was great. But the match. There was no other outcome than cena losing. Entire build up was screaming that he will lose. Good to see Taker back again though.
I love Miz. His entrance was GOAT. That match was very good. Agreed with Jay that all 3 have great chemistry together.
The main event. So there are rumours that Brock went off script in the last few minutes and none of that was supposed to happen... Glad he won but let's see how legit those rumours are. Brutal match though.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
- As previously noted, there was reportedly a backstage incident involving Brock Lesnar after his match with Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania.
According to Ryan Satin ProWrestlingSheet.com, several sources are claiming that Lesnar yelled directly at Vince McMahon and McMahon was not happy about it. Lesnar also allegedly threw the Universal Title belt and walked off. There is speculation that Lesnar might have gone off the script towards the end of the match.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
AJ and Nakamura was too slow, it felt like AJs first match with Cena without the excellent storytelling that match had.
I still have hopes the feud will be excellent but they can both do a lot better.
Only reason I'm content with it because I loved the finish, that Kinshasa into Styles Clash moment was so smooth, probably the smoothest Styles Clash transition I've seen in WWE.
That and the heel turn saved it for me.
Also I said it live but Asuka and Charlotte match ignoring the finish is the best women's match I've seen on the main roster.
I don't agree with the finish, Asuka has to lose some time but I don't think this was the moment but as with anything the story they tell after the fact is what's important.

Been reading up on this.
Apparently people are saying Saudi Arabia in general are very Kayfabe respectable.
What I mean by that they won't shit over something if they don't like it like we would.
Basically they are putting the belt on him there because people won't shit on it lmao.
Imagine your top guy is so hated so you to have to go outside the country to coronate him lmao.
WATTBA.

EXCLUSIVE: Well, Vince McMahon broke part of the news I had. Indeed, Brock Lesnar has resigned with WWE. But, from what I have been told by multiple sources, Lesnar signed a new multi-year deal AND will also be allowed to fight in the UFC as hes still under UFC contract.
