UCL R16 : Chelsea Vs FC Barcelona

Barca have paid costly prices in CL for repeatedly failing to get an away goal in these ties. They need to score in England to have some margin for error on Camp Nou. A draw with goal(s) would be more than welcome.

Are you serious? We couldn't put a goal past Getafe. This is Chelsea with an Italian coach playing a 3 man defense. They'll nick a goal and we'll be screwed.

It's not too hard to score against Chelsea, The fact that Giroud will now own that starting 11 place confirms their plight. If you guys don't get through, You don't deserve nothing.

It's not hard to score against Chelsea when they are playing against lower level Premier League teams and go forward because they need to gain points.

It's hard to score against any team that just wants to park the airplane and survive, even more so against an elite team like Chelsea.

Of course we will go through, being unbeaten the whole season in league and CL only to crash out against Chelsea in the R16 would be embarrassing but we will not exactly 5-0 them. 0-0 Stamford Bridge, 1-0 in Camp Nou is my guess.

It really depends on the formation Valverde will play. Last weeks he has been trying a lot of different formations; trying to get Coutinho, Dembele, Iniesta, Messi, Suarez all in different roles (4-4-2 / 4-3-1-2 / 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-2-2   )

Hope he switches to the workhouse 4-4-2 against Chelsea. Worked pretty decent in the first half of this season. No need for Dembele against this Chelsea. At least not as a starter.

Not even a Brexit masterclass can send Chelsea through IMO. I just can't see it with how they're playing this season, especially lately. That said, they do compete in the PL and Barca's form in La Liga isn't worth a damn compared to that tbh. Need G-Rude to do the rest of us as a favor and send them through.

Morata in  CL is a different animal. He will score and Brexit will enjoy a glorious victory today. Just hope the ref can bring his inner Brexit out in the 2nd leg and secure Chelsea a safe passage to the next round.

I'm more and more doubtful as the game edges closer. I expect our players to step though, especially Iniesta. Also, we convincingly managed to beat Madrid and Juve this season already, so we sure can deal with the pressure of a big game under Valverde.

Yeah, it's basically pre-season for Coutinho at this point. He has to essentially earn that spot the tough way since he came into a squad that already is pretty much gelled nicely.
