Well we couldn't beat Atlético 2 years ago but we beat Madrid who beat Atlético

Groups and knockouts are a different ball game. Sometimes it's not as clear cut as it seems.

All depends on in what shape and form both teams are in come February. I wouldn't rule out Chelsea so easily.

There is a much larger gap between Barca and Roma than there is over that Atletico and that Madrid.

Of course football is not transitive like that, yet Barca's and Chelsea's respective results are very different.

Barca haven't even lost a game the whole season. They concede less and score more than Chelsea. Then there is Messi.

I would love that Chelsea beats Barca but its hard to see it happening, hope Im wrong.

Chelsea will play Barcelona twice, Manchester United away and Manchester City away in the space of three weeks.

They will Barca on the 13th of February and 6th of March will the Manchester fixtures in between; United away on the 24th of February and City on the 3rd of March.

Confirmed UCL dates: First leg: Chelsea vs. Barça, February 20. Second leg: Barça vs. Chelsea, March 14.

Chelsea will probably focus on locking top 4 at best this season, all guns blazing in the CL

But will probably get K.O'd anyway.

When was the last time Messi performed in a CL knockout round? Against Bayern 3 years ago (mostly thanks to agent Pep)?

Our unbeaten run means nothing. Valencia are almost as good as us in the league and you wouldn't fancy Valencia to beat any big European team. The league is a joke these days.

We have no creativity whatsoever in the team. Not even Messi is creative. He does the same passing patterns all the time and sometimes they come off.

Easy Chelsea win. Time to concentrate on La Liga and CdR. A domestic double would be great.

Chelsea won't roll over but I'd be surprised if they progress unless Barca are thoroughly shit and let Zappacosta have his way with them.

Chelsea are definitely capable of turning up for the big games but overall I haven't been impressed with them this season, think Barca will kill the tie in the first game personally

Depending on the winter transfer market Chelsea IMHO has a very good shot. I would even say it is 50%/50% at the moment as Barca always has issues playing against Chelsea.

Don't worry, I'm not that much of a pessimist!

Barca have paid costly prices in CL for repeatedly failing to get an away goal in these ties. They need to score in England to have some margin for error on Camp Nou. A draw with goal(s) would be more than welcome.
