it's not about individual quality, it's about playing guys that have never really been together in deep waters in a big game.

A good defense is one born out of habits. It's clear the one we will on saturday will not have that going for them. THat's a big risk because guys can be slow covering one another, not aligned, etc.. and a single mistake can cost you a goal.

Not sure what other options we have if Vallejo isn't fully fit, Varane is out and Ramos suspended.

It wasn't a knock, it was the lunge he had to block that cross headed right towards Auba for a goal.

You know... there is a school of thought that it's unhealthy to train beyond a certain intensity before the age of 18.  It's not always true obviously...  but it does theorize that, for some, it destabilizes natural muscle growth that needs to occur in a developing person and can cause chronic injuries.

Both Bale and Varane were known to be crazy workaholics physically at a very young age.  It may have backfired on them.

It's a bit of a concern going forward tbh as we're asking kids at younger and young ages to become men and compete at the highest level.
