Sevilla vs Real Madrid
When Sevilla wins this, I wonder if this would be categorised as Zidane trying to prove a point to the board as well

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
we need to win this, take full advantage of this time where barcelona are dropping points. a draw just won't do, i hope we beat them, hell i'll take a dull 1 nil win even

That would be ironic, considering he'd be left with 0 points

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
Carlo lost the plot in his later milan days. Wonder if the same is transpiring here with Zidane.
So many questionable things have occurred since last I was here... Zidane lost the plot due to his obsesson with pogba?
Regardless, We cannot afford to lose or draw. this must be a win.
though with how this team is playing in general, I cannot see a triumph. too many issues that hasn't been dealt with. tbis is gonna be a long couple months until January.

We are having the same problem as that Milan team. They had a great run, and when the legs start to grow old, they forgot to replace them.
Call me disloyal to legends but my unpopular opinion is that if a club wants to stray big, it cannot satisfy legends till they retire, it's not 2007 anymore. Younger and tougher players run riots around you and you cannot keep a 36 years old left back as a starter just cause he is a club legend. Teams like Bilbao, Roma, Lazio or Everton can afford it, they are not pressured to stay at the top. Teams like Juventus, Chelsea or Real Madrid and Barca, will fall behind if they stick with the players that are getting old.
I'm not saying that a player +33 should leave, but instead they should slowly consider moving down the pecking order i.e. Iniesta in his last season.

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
@ StrugaRock i agree completely.
The team takes to long to let players go. You value players but you have to put the team first.
The coach needs put kinship aside as well

I agree, but I would also like to point out that we do have lots of talented kids. IMO, this is all on Zidane and stubbornness of sticking with the old guard. He insists on a starting 11, 12 or 13 and the rest only get minutes with injuries and fatigue.
He has yet to realize that talented kids need game time minutes to develop plus you can’t compete in 3 competitions with 11, 12 or 13 players.
I do agree a coaching chance will not resolve this, esp. if it is asshole Mourinho.

@Stugarock
I personally don't think it's disloyal. We'll always love these guys as much as you can love a total stranger. But Real Madrid did not stay on top so long being sentimental. Legends come, legends go, Real Madrid stays and no one is bigger than the club.
I think people currently running forgot about that premise.

Hazars has been dissapointing so far this season
If Ronaldo had missed the chance he had in a closely fought game he'd been crucified
0-0 at HT great accomplishment, not nick a goal and gtfo of there

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
The final free kick Sevilla had pretty much exemplified the match in its entirety: looks promising but in the end, lacked the quality necessary.
That being said, I expect a loss so this result is going good so far as far I am concerned.

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
Sevilla have an unhealthy obsession with short corners
Bale will only work as a CF. He can score and with duels in the air but it stops there. As a winger he is lacking in everything

Sevilla are working hard and pressing us well (our kryptonite), but man, they lack quality players these days. We might be able to get away with something from this match.

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
solution to Courtois... defend so well that he doesn't have to make a single save or a single intervention in the air lol.
Despite that, he still made me nervous.

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
I agree but the loyslty factor which Carlo favors which has also been passed down to Zidane is what helps bring out the best in a player. confidence is a major variable of the game.that same loyalty is what got us 3 cls in a row after all.StrugaRock wrote:Turok_TTZ wrote:Carlo lost the plot in his later milan days. However I do agree we need to be more pragmatic. no amount of confidence is going to fix age. though there are exceptions...
in any case Benzema 5/10 would not watch again.
While Benzema does honor the shirt he wears, he still needs to do more. much more. but at the very least, he has more hustle than the rest of this clown team. need more hustle from everyone.else. we still well below what we're expected of

Hazard with a terrible game. Good God.
Benz, Carvajal were splendid, followed closely by James and Casemiro
Sevilla without a shot on target, thank God or wed have lost this game

Hey. Ex-Monaco and ex-OM. Type of player you hate to play against because he's a pest who never stops running.
Also, despite his flaws, he's better than Lucas Vasquez.

On the flip side, Mendy was wonderful with his defensive contribution. Can we have a Mendy for the right please?
