Napoli is a bit overrated

Napoli is 100% focused on Serie A and still won't win it so they are wasting everyone's time all around.

If they can find a killer left back, a great center forward that can give Mertens a rest occasionally and a player that can allow Insigne to rest a bit, they can compete for the Scudetto, now that they are not in CL.

Anyways, I’m glad the Napoli meme is over. You guys do know they only made the round of 16 last year and got battered by Real Madrid 6-2 on aggregate? They lost the league by 4 points.

Now they’ll play the EL and virtually have the same amount of games.

The only reason, the only reason, we’re discussing that Napoli doesn’t care about the CL is because they literally, by the words of their owner, rested players in preparation for a Serie A match. They did this, after already losing their opener against Shakhtar with, you guessed it, a weaker 11. Even today in a must win, they dropped players and even bottled it- not that it mattered but such is the team.

Serie A needs them out of the top four spots. They kept their team together with the idea of winning the scudetto this season. It’s an obsession for them. They could win it and dismantle their team becoming a Fiorentina or Torino level team and they would not be out of place.

They’re provinciale to the core. But they have a good squad in my opinion, and a good manager. The last 6 seasons aren’t a fluke. They got what they deserved in the CL and they even got karma’d at home by Juve this past week.
