Well, this hater would acknowledge them. Well done, absolutely outplayed Madrid. Even got the offside and jammy goals that we usually get.

Re: Tottenham's legitimacy watch
This thread is unneccessary and should be merged with the Harry Kane appreciation thread
Because Spurs are nothing but the Harry Kane team.
Without Kane, they lost 0:1 against Real, in the last 15 minutes.
Without Kane, they lost against a poor Man United side.
They're nothing without Kane.
They are the Harry Kane team.

Re: Tottenham's legitimacy watch
Really surprised how comfortable they beat Real... straight after losing to Man U... is it more Real being poor though or Spurs being that good really? Anyhow, its great to see Spurs really improved so much from the years past always being stuck behind Arsenal

As in 2010 , Spurs win against the past CL winners for 3-1 at home. What a story.

This hater takes back his acknowledgement. Waste of time side that just got lucky against us.

FIFA virus affects all the big teams. Eriksen looked depleted after single handedly qualifying for the WC. Kane carrying a knock he picked up for the NT. Etc. Nothing to see here.

Shouldn't this "FIFA virus" also affect Arsenal as well?!

Re: Tottenham's legitimacy watch
FIFA virus doesn't affect Arsenal because their players don't really play internationals, at least not tough ones like Eriksen putting the team on his back doe
Spurs have qualified for the RO16 of the Champions League as group winners. The group consisted of Tottenham, 2xCL holders Real Madrid, European powerhouse Borussia Dortmund, and underrated APOEL Nicosia. They've done it in 5 games.
Pochettino

Re: Tottenham's legitimacy watch
They definitely deserve their first spot.
But I wouldn't brag about beating this Madrid side. Not trying to take away anything from Spurs or Pochettino, but it's clear that when you lose at home to Betis and away to newly promoted Girona, chances are you're going to lose to Spurs away.
I think you guys have done enough to earn the respect and appreciation of every football fan, but your true worth will be tested in the knockout rounds. Not in the group of an attack-less Madrid and the shadow of Dortmund's former self.
