I have to write an essay on it, and I would like some thoughts on how you experienced it.

Just from watching this gameplay, I literally fell in love with this game. It's fun. The aesthetic is no unique, and the dialogue and music are surprisingly accurate yet hilarious at the same time. But the twist is that the game actually deals with a controversial real life issue that is ongoing at the moment - illegal immigration and laws on refugees. And as the game progresses your choices as the immigration officer become more morally challenging.

2018 is shaping up to become a great year for open world games, considering Far Cry is one of the least interesting titles on this list. Not to mention, the open world, Superman/Justice League game that Rocksteady are likely working on.

GOTY nominations are PUBG, Zelda, Mario, Horizon and Persona 5.

My vote would go to Persona 5, but i suspect the award will actually go to Mario and Zelda considering the reaction to those games in the media.

Mario and Zelda would be voted every other year tbh, the media loves them entirely despite what any of us thinks.

PUBG is a fair enough comment, i certainly wouldn't have voted for it.

easily the GOAT gaming year for me personally, 2015 maybe can compete because of TW3 and BB being my fav games of all time

but Persona 5, Nioh, Horizon and a few other top games all within a couple months is insanity

Exactly i can name close to 10 games i have played this year which i can consider at least an 8 out of 10.

And there's some which are apparently great which i haven't yet got round to it.

It's the best year since 2007 imo.

The december beta will be Playstation exclusive, not the actual game. Also, Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn will be a PS exclusive character in Monster Hunter World.

Yeah i saw the press conference, i might give it a chance tbh as i think it looks decent.

I have never played a Monster Hunter game before because it's always portable and looks like utter shite.
