Too early to say. Lyon have replaced 75% of their team and are building back. He was very good against PSG tho.

NDombele might be the real deal.

They've both been atrocious Fennec... Ghezzal slightly less so. But he's benched for sure anyhow in the very near future.

Explain? Benzia has been playing very good as a midfielder, we all know he's a crap striker. Ghezzal has actually been very good. 1 goal and one assist and his overall play has been solid.

Baffles me why Monaco didn't get mahrez and got ghezzal.. mahrez is leagues above him.

Benzia doesn't have the movements to be a midfielder and the finishing to be a striker... Lille were looking for him to lead the offense and they're next to last in scoring in Ligue 1 and in relegation zone. 4 goals total for the team in 7 games. Obviously not his fault entirely... but his mental toughness and motivation are an issue (per always). He tends to disappear a lot so he can't be relied upon. They're going to overhaul that attack soon and likely try entirely new attacking players. His position is in real danger. Always had the talent; but could never put it together at this level.

Ghezzal is similar to Benzia (but better imo). Shows flashes but can never do anything consistently. That's why he got benched and let go at Lyon and why he is going to be a bench player at Monaco. No way in the world he will win a spot ahead of guys like Falcao, Balde, Jovetic, Lemar and Rony Lopes assuming they're all healthy. He's gotten time early due to injuries (to Lemar specifically and Fabinho has some niggles causing a change in formation in the short term)... but that's ending. Not sure why he chose Monaco tbh. No matter how he played, there were too many people ahead of him. At 25, he's not the type of player Monaco look to develop because his resale value is never going to be great. I personally like him... a shame he hasn't committed himself 100%.

I have more hope for Ghezzal overall than Benzia.

Monaco look absolutely rekt this season, obly bright spot is Falcao having the best season of his life. Otherwise, get the feeling the team will jump ship next summer
