Neymar in particular... went there so he can become the equivalent of what Messi is for Barcelona, took the easy road, he has no respect.

Cavani spent his first season going back and forth to Uruguay, asking for extra time off and basically not taking his job seriously.  That's why he ended up needing years to get the respect of his teammates... and he still doesn't have it because turnover has been low.  That's also the reason that he was marginalized to a big extent.

He's never been and will never be a locker room leader.  So even if he's been at PSG for 100 years, he would get no respect for seniority.  His own doing really.

I think you nailed it with the last line, the issue isn't about what it's about- penalties and free kicks but its how it went down. You have Emery who clearly lacks balls and probably won't be in Paris beyond this season. Then you have a player known to the squad versus a shiny new toy who makes more than most of them combined squabbling.

that would have caused so many problems in the locker room even more than the issue they seem to have now. that kind of clause doesn't help. what happens if the player is off form and the coach wants another pk taker? the coach and the players should handle that, not the club
