btw Barca will have a game against Malaga (Away) on 20 or 21 August than Uefa Super Cup against Porto on 26 august!

They will probably play with alot of subs in this match!

Playing United might have been a better idea in the end to get a more reasonable idea of how well their game plan might work against a top Champions League team. Hopefully Barcelona play a good defence and attack but a weakened midfield so that Napoli can learn the most they can from this match.

this will be like man city vs barcelona last year. barcelona will play their reserve team plus under 18s etc. Napoli probably likewise

It's still a good idea through a marketing perspective. A club like Napoli wants to associate it's brand with that of the clubs like Barcelona, even if these are going to play only a sub & reserve team.

United are arguably a bigger brand still and would have given them a more realistic idea of the style and tactics of their hardest opposition. They'll learn less about their potential opposition playing a United reserve team than against Barcelona.
