That left hook bought out so much sweat from Ruiz that it blinded Joshua...

Re: Boxing thread - Part 2
Joshua fought smarter overall. Really liked it from every standpoint but the entertainment one. He needs to combine this attitude with his power.
Also think he mainly cruised. He had some great shots on Ruiz, but it was clear he was just gonna go for the point win.
Want him to teach Cody Garbrandt to become disciplined ffs.

Yea he comfortably won every single round. Smart boxing. Well done to him. It was his issue in the first fight because he made his career out of KO others. Never learnt how to go 12 rounds. Even today his conditioning looked Awful after 7 rounds but Ruiz just wanted to drag this till happy time at shake shack.

Re: Boxing thread - Part 2
Didn't watch the fight, I find 90% of boxing to be boring and 10% the highlights you can watch afterwards. But read an online comment saying that Joshua won the fight by avoiding the fight and that sounds quite familiar to what top-level boxing has become.

Re: Boxing thread - Part 2
I've been watching AJ on my Snapchat and he seems a simple man not quite passionate on the sport of boxing if at all and what he seems to truly be into is compete when he does but spend the rest of his life with his lovely family and his lifestyle really does not resemble the one of a superstar.
Ruiz on the other hand disappointed fans worldwide because he unironically came into the fight 15lbs+ fatter. Now fighters will understand aesthetics and fat per say does not matter like how some think it does but he went far too much above what his frame is capable to handle hence why his power and speed was far less than the last fight.
AJ prepared for the fight extremely well but would it have worked against the Ruiz of the first fight? Likely it would have been far closer given Ruiz spent his victory dance for months feasting on enchiladas and never deserves a big match in his career again. Complete disappointment and congratulations to AJ for a well deserved victory.
