Its been an absolute pleasure watching Cristiano from that rather annoying and wiry showboat who was imported from Sporting to the shining leader and performer he is today, how he has progressed as a player and persona and of course a true role model to millions out there not just for football but what his mentality represents.

A true winner and amongst his 3 all time best performances tonight.

I still think his one man army performance when we needed a comeback against Wolfsburg, was in a league of it's own. Not only was he decisive offensively, but his work rate was through the roof on both sides of the pitch. That was such an uncharacteristic match, compared to how he usually plays. Looked like he was on some hard, performance enhancing drugs Laughing

A champion player with a champion mentality. Hats off.

I was not a huge fan of his early on and just didnt think he belonged with the greats. His game just doesnt have that magic that the GOATS of the game had/have.
However, he has won me over over the last few years. With the tie on the line, I would take CR every single time over Messi. What's more. if Messi flops in the CL again, I would be forced to acknowledge that CR is the greater player between the two. Messi's legacy is on the line in this CL campaign. Too many failures recently. He has to deliver. No excuses whatsoever.

i'm actually more impressed that atleti have 118 goals. they were never a staple team in the ucl, at least not until simeone, in 2011 (they had sporadic appearances in the late 2000s i think) they've never had a stack of offensive talent in their squad (they've always lucked out with good CFs, but besides that, not much in midfield), and since simeone , they've been viewed more as a defensive side than an offensive juggernaut

compared to cristiano who has been at perennial clubs, ucl contenders, and clubs who have spent a lot on offensive talent and also have among the highest transfer fees in their countries over the years, atleti's is more impressive.

CRs goal tally is crazy no doubt, but you know what you get with him, with atleti, when u mentioned that i was stunned i was like atleti have scored over a hundred goals in europe?

Not saying it was easy at all... but CR with his leap and heading ability, and being penaldo, its not that surprising, and apart from finishing those, did he really dominate the game like the greatest player every would? Very Happy

And same with the him motivating and bringing the best around him, making him sound like the coach Allegri himself Very Happy

No one is overreacting, the man is proving time and time again he's the GOAT.

He's always the difference maker, every single time. Barca peasants have to accept facts.

Since the rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo began, I have always thought that Messi is the true GOAT, but Ronaldo outdid him. At 34 he's still doing it.

Allegri wishes he was as good as a coach as CR7 who himself managed Portugal to one of the greatest upset championship victories in Euro 2016
