Lucas is playing because Lovren is out and Klavan has had issues with possession when teams park the bus.

It's not like Klopp decided Lucas will be his main defender this season.

Sakho was supposed to be the Matip partner but the idiot got caught doping and then his disciplinary issues.

So Lucas was kept as 4th choice CB because Gomez was also injured with an ACL.
