Am gonna take a leap of faith and assume the thread title had some role in Chelsea dropping points today. We know it came from good place though. *wink*

not really, that's why I can't get excited
how many of the top 6 do they have to play still?
More than a top 6 it's really more of a top 1

Considering Chelsea's personnel they are more likely to drop points against the scrubs than they are the big teams IMO.
If this happens again soon and at least one of the teams below them keep winning i'll consider the whole title stuff back on.
Lots of ifs though.

Going to put Leicester down as one my three to get relegated.
Half the team doesn't look bothered against Swansea
They've yet to work out how to create chances besides balls for Vardy to chase.

needed Gylfi to step up and get me some fantasy points today and he's delivering. Leicester being relegated would be crazy but I can see it.

It's hard to see Palace going down as much as I would love it.
Leicester definitely look in trouble and so do Middlesbrough.
Can't believe Swansea have saved themselves for now and Hull seem to have turned it around also.
Sunderland are down 100%.

Mahrez has been garbage this season, not sure a top club will take any risks on him, at least none of the big English clubs. His valuation will have tanked too. Algerian Ben Arfa IMO, can see him at Milan or something

This is Ranieri history in his career. Overachiever the first year, very bad the year after.I can't be surprised.

He's been Leicester's best performer in the CL and arguably the best from any EPL side in the CL group stages

Re: Ranieri's Dream Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 11
I watched a bunch of them in the CL and he wasn't anything special, regardless that was a glorified EL group, in fact majority of EL groups were stronger
Still no excuses for how shit he has been in the league, probably not even a top 150 player, has literally offered nothing
I don't think he's a fraud but IDK what the problem is, he showed too much talent last season, much like Vardy, those weren't fluke performances
maybe he thinks he's too big for Leicester but IDK

Even so, he can't be singled out, the whole has been absolute crap, i'm sure if he gets a change in scenery he will put up some good performances

Re: Ranieri's Dream Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 11
Ranieri has to take a lot of the blame IMO for this Leicester team, in terms of transfers and improving the squad
sell Kante whose importance was clear to all, they got that Mendy guy who was supposed to replace him I think but haven't heard anything about him so can conclude he's a flop..their midfield is utterly shite..then spend 42M COMBINED on Slimani and Musa..who are both backups lol
awful transfer dealings..I know they were coming off a season where their scrubs performed above and beyond their level but he should have bought replacements for the likes of simpson, Huth, etc
embarrassing they won the league so comfortably while thrashing some 'top' clubs along the way

Re: Ranieri's Dream Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 11
Claudio Ranieri's struggling Foxes have become the first defending top-flight champions to go six successive matches without registering a goal
I honestly don't think Ranieri will last the season, it's an odd situation since he's obviously solidified himself as a legend of the club but they look like they won't go anywhere but down with him this season, seems to be making 0 adjustments to try and change the way they're playing

Re: Ranieri's Dream Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 11
He's tried a back three and a diamond at different points this season. Nothing he can do will make a difference, though. Mentally they're gone. The players aren't fighting for anything anymore.
Tbh I don't know why they blew all their money on forwards. Musa and Slimani are nice but they had to foresee that their defence wouldn't repeat last year's form.

Ranieri should trash the players who aint giving a shit even if it means playing youth prospects in their place. Its clear the issue with LC right now is their lack of hunger. The likes of Morgan and Simpson arent even bothered it seems. The tinkerman has to tinker now or else they will be going down.

That's one of the issues with Ranieri, he doesn't really have the balls to take control when things go to shit.

I think the a reason for their bizarre transfer policy last summer was their participation in the CL. The reason they spent that much on depth was because well, they didnt have any depth to take part in multiple competitions.

Wouldn't like City to win but if they do, It'll cut the lead to 8 points. It could make it interesting even though Chelsea's run in is easy.

Antonio Conte said he does not like Jose Mourinho's "joking" and called him classless after the Manchester United boss said Premier League leaders Chelsea cannot be caught because they are a "defensive team".

lmao
do you guys think Mourinho has any real friends in his personal life?
or is he pissing off everyone there as he's doing in his professional life
lmao the guy can't get along with anyone, insulting every colleague
pretty sure even the great friendship with van Gaal is over by now, what with him taking his job and proclaiming he has do undo all the stuff van Gaal coached into the player's heads
