He's like walkessi only that walkessi usually still manages to get a goal while playing like shit. He sees Suarez crossing the ball? doesn't move to meet it. He loses the ball? Doesn't try to get it back. He's just there.

Neymar has been absolutely incredible sine the turn of this year . if only the refs allowed his wrongfully disallowed goal. Barca peaking at just the right time

Truth be told, I actually barely watched any football this season. The free La Liga streaming service which I used for years didn't get the broadcasting rights this term and I don't have the enthusiasm to watch crappy streams or rewatch entire games beyond extended highlights anymore. The gym and my girlfriend keep me busy enough.

I wouldn't be surprised, however, if Barca peak in the 2nd half of the season like in 14/15. It's not based on anything but a feeling though. Surely Barca can't be mediocre for the entirety of a season. At some point we'll get our shit together.

I wouldnt be too sure this year about us getting back into beast-mode MSN $$$$$$$ style really soon now. Rakitic and/or Messi positioning and form is really really a big deal this year. Whenever Rakitic gets dropped for the B-games we are seem to be playing a lot more natural and more width movement from the midfield covering msn. this year its different. Rakitic not getting dropped is crucial. The other scenario is Messi doing a harder shift, but it seems this is out of the question.... So Rakitic is out. Get him to England asap.

I have my doubts about him ever accepting being a bench player Evidently, he hasn't even realized that his mobility has declined so much that he's not capable of dribbling anymore. Still attempts to do it, a few times in every game, when passing the ball or simply shielding the ball is clearly the better option. Should've sold him when it it made economical and long-term sense to do so, in my opinion. I respect him for his accomplishments and talents, but he strikes me as the type of person who can't handle being told that he's "past it" or insufficient, and unless I'm wrong, that's just going to cause a lot of unnecessary drama and controversy in the future. More importantly, it's going to affect the club negatively. He's been showered with praise for his professionalism, but based on having watched him play for almost a decade now, I think I can safely establish that his professional behaviour can be quite selective.
