Who will advance to the quarter-finals?
Re: UCL Last 16: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal FC
Wish we had this problem of winning the league by default every year. Must be so good living with good health.

No it's different to last years. In last years we had to play well to win the league, and play well we did almost every week.
Now we're phoning it in and getting away with it because no other team can get their shit half together.
We are back to the 2000s in Bundesliga, with Hertha and Hoffenheim playing for international places and Bayern getting scrappy 1:0 wins as long as no opponent has a good day

Hmm I see. Must say I have not watched much Bundesliga this season.
Why do you think this problem exists? Is it because Dortmund have been inconsistent or the quality in the league is deteriorating since even teams like Schalke and BMG who were good few years back have become poor now?

Re: UCL Last 16: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal FC
All of the above.
Bundesliga is being raided by PL, best player of the league bought by PL every season, De Bruyne, then Mkhi. Gündogan, Xhaka, Sane, Draxler is gone.
Only Bayern can keep up. BVB have lost 3 spine players in Hummels, Gündogan and Mkhi.
Gladbach are financially on the level of a Championship club and their time of overachievement and overexertion has come to an end.
Schalke and Leverkusen are never really consistent but have been especially poor this season.
Wolfsburg have completely imploded, corresponding with the VW troubles. They are basically done as a top team, and the fact they actually stick with Ismael as coach shows they know it themselves.
And we are playing the worst football since 2010. We still have a GOAT team who I guess knows how to show up when it matters, but this too will fade.
Ancelotti is the most uninspiring coach imaginable. I love him but this is unbearable.

What a stupid schedule. Having two good games on a single day ffs
Anyway, here's an interesting trivia for you. Last time Carlo faced Wenger in CL, he lost when his team was reigning CL holder. Means something IMO.

Re: UCL Last 16: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal FC
Arsenal never had as good a shot against us as this season.
Their team is full of top stars, Özil, Alexis, Mustafi, Koscielny, Bellerin, Xhaka, Cech.
Giroud always beasts against us, big game player much like Morata.
We are saturated and in bad form.
Arsenal have a real chance this year. Not that they will take it.

Re: UCL Last 16: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal FC
Welbeck?
I take it all back
expect Bayern to be 2-0 up before Wenger subs on G-Rude for Welbeck in the 65th min, who then scores within 15 minutes but it's too late for Arsenal to mount a proper comeback

Re: UCL Last 16: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal FC
It could be a 4-3-3 with Chamberlain in midfield and Ozil out wide, which we tried against Chelsea. Arsenal have it down as a 4-2-3-1 at the moment though.
