Who will advance to the quarter-finals?
Re: UCL Last 16: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal FC
I can firmly predict that we will not be playing as bad as we did in the first leg.
Neither will Arsenal I guess, but I think we'll win this too.

That's very arsenalesque.
Better yet: 4-0 until minute 89 when Bayern scores and knocks Arsenal out.

Re: UCL Last 16: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal FC
Some videos and observations to preview this highly anticipated game:
Robbie claims Arsenal are "on the worst form ever"
Ty thinks both the game and the preview are "pointless"
He also thinks Ozil "should have been dropped months ago"
Ty's team:
Ramsey as 10 because he is "mo better as a attacking player"
Robbie's team:
He's tempted to go with the team in brackets because as Arsenal need goals, "you need as many goalscorers on the pitch as possible".
Wenger is such a likeable, affable and smart person ffs.
Wish he was some friend of the family with whom I could converse about stuff over dinner every couple of weeks. He is paying.
On top of that, he's fond of me, so every now and then he gives me thousands of money to have the "freedom to play and express myself".
Also, the German part might be of interest:
Journalist: "In Germany we've heard you have the chance to extend for 2 years here at Arsenal, when will you sign?"
Wenger: "I have not made a decision yet and will wait a bit, how this finishes, how the season goes. I'm here now for 20 years, I have, I believe, built up this club, it's important then that we are always successful; that's why I'll take some time."
J: "When will the decision be made?"
W: "I don't know"
J: "Ok. But you still fancy being at Arsenal, or a new challenge, could you imagine that?"
W: "At the moment my focus is on the Bayern München game and therefore it's difficult for me to talk about this."
So that he has an offer for 2 years is confirmed now, I guess.
On another note, Mertesacker by now sounds like he has adapted a firmly MLE, Arsenal fan TV, way of speaking lmao
"I don't understand the question, onestly I don't, the manager, he has got like 25 options now, you know, it's up to us to show a different face tomorrow, fam, that is really somtin we a gonna demand, you know, we literally blew it away in the second half there, you know, that's what this club is about, it's not gonna be about one single player, blood"
Also, why does Merte talks like he's the manager
"I need to make sure that we train on a high level and be focused on our next opponents. I'm telling the players.."
Excuse me WHAT?
Müller to Ribery: "Number two is German.. number one is English, make it English then it's funny!"
Ribéry: "Nah I don't understand English"
Müller: "Yes (laughs)"
Ribéry has been in Munich for TEN years and still speaks German just barely passably lmao
minutes 7:30 and 8:15 to 9:20 lmao
also, "Mr Ancelotti can you please explain why is your team in such a good shape at the moment?"
German journalists
Embarrassing.
Match facts:
Having scored the away goal, a 4:0 win suffices for Arsenal to go through.
With this lengthy preview I have ensured the danger of an upset is real.
Bayern team to play Arsenal:
Neuer - Rafinha, Martinez, Hummels, Alaba - Alonso, Vidal, Thiago - Robben, Ribéry, Lewandowski

Re: UCL Last 16: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal FC
Mertesacker speaks like that because all our players are taught to speak like that. That's why Ramsey is so boring in his interviews. Walcott talks exactly like Wenger. Bellerin offered more Wengerism when he blamed our mentality in the first half against Liverpool, which is what Wenger also said.
They talk like that because Wenger controls even the way they speak to the media.

Good god even my Deutsch is better than Ribery (though I am fluent now) as how is it being in Bayern for years he still has not given the respect of honouring the language? Smh

Re: UCL Last 16: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal FC
What PK? Delusional PK, Ref literally had to warn Walcott for a dive & even dive didn't matter because Alonso got 100% of the ball.
But Lewa missed a sitter into an empty goal almost which Robben setup.
Arsenal got 1 goal because of Neuer error. They will only score goals if we screw up & it looks like we are ! They are defending well like a relegation team & the counters are pretty decent !

Referee showed Koscielny a yellow and then a red
Corrupt officials ruining our comeback.
Bayern looks so average too. Can't wait till they get destroyed by a superior team like Juve or Madrid

Re: UCL Last 16: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal FC
Bayern doesn't give a damn about playing well against a poverty team like Arsenal when the 1st leg was 5-1. We need to conserve energy.
The official changed it to red on the insistence on the linesman as rules dictate a clear red in case of a clear goal scoring opportunity. Arsenal have been lucky, Lewa hitting the post, missing sitters & Neuer giving them a goal.
Edit - Costa (sub) with a phenomenal goal, 3-1. And now a Vidal goal, 4-1.
Overall - 9-2 over both legs - What a poverty team !

Re: UCL Last 16: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal FC
Another Vidal goal, phenomenal pass from Renato Sanches splitting open the defense, 5-1.
10-2 over both legs - Arsenal being handed their a** again!
Edit - Alexis Sanches is laughing & enjoying as Arsenal conceded the 5th goal, he realizes how big of a joke Arsenal are & is probably gone in the summer !
