Top 10 young talents in the big leagues
Collectively GL knows a lot about each of the big leagues, so lets see.
What are the top 10 U-23 talents in whatever league you are most familiar with? Which are the players to look forward the most?
To reduce the hyping of youth team scrubs, lets say they must have at least played in the top division (La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, etc) and not just on youth leagues and lower divisions. I chose U-23 since that's the last youth teams for NTs.
Serie A (not in order)
Dybala (Argentina, SS, 22, Juve)
Icardi (Argentina, CF, 23, Inter)
Berardi (Italy, RW, 22, Sassuolo)
Belotti (Italy, CF, 22, Torino)
Felipe Anderson (Brazil, RW, 23, Lazio)
Benassi (Italy, CM, 22, Torino)
Rugani (Italy, CB, 22, Juve)
Donnarumma (Italy, GK, 17, Milan)
Keita (Senegal, SS/LW, 21, Lazio)
Romagnoli (Italy, CB, 21, Milan)
In my case I picked the ones that have already given a lot of good performances in the league over other promising players that haven't exploded yet (e.g. Pellegrini). A lot of good ones missing like Kessie, Niang, Diawara, Suso, etc. And more that I forgot.

Re: Top 10 young talents in the big leagues
Hmmmmm. I guess if we're using 23 as the cutoff:
Premier League
Paul Pogba
Raheem Sterling
Romelu Lukaku
Harry Kane
Hector Bellerin
Dele Alli
Big **** Divock (Origi)
Kelechi Iheanacho
Leroy Sane
Joe Gomez
I guess.

I would add Simone Lo Faso (18 years old). Reminds me of Roberto Baggio.

What is this, Italy? Over 21 is no longer "young"
Basically the entire Torino forward line

All the olympic teams are U-23 still.
Anyway it doesn't matter. You can make it with any cutoff.

McLewis wrote:dat Pulisic snub tho.
That's not meant as a snub AT ALL.
The names I list after the top 10 are all great young players.
I mention Pulisic, alongside much more established players like Calhanoglu, Meyer, or Süle, as a candidate who for me just does not make top 10 in the league yet. He's barely 18, remember, so even though he impressed in recent weeks with good performances in lots of game time, it's IMO too early for a spot in my list. If I knew the season continues like it started, I'd swap him with Coman who hasn't been showing the same quality of performances he showed last season so far.
Pulisic is without a doubt a legit top talent and his recent weeks have been pretty breathtaking. It's just that with the inclusion of up to U23 there's simply more than 10 young players better than him in my estimation.
Also, like @rincon I tend to value relative longevity of performance higher than flashes of potential in this list, so Pulisic would need to confirm his last weeks over a longer period.

Then I'd add Totti for Serie A.

With honorable mentions Lukaku, Sane, Hojberg, Redmond, Traore, Origi, Gomez, Zouma, N'koudu, Loftus Cheek, Gray, Grugic, Fosu Mensah etc. Might have missed some names from smaller teams.
