Any team with the best player in history will look miles better with him on.

Barca were playing with MC. Just notice how after he missed the penalty, Neymar decided he was going to score a goal and did so going off script (holding the ball till the end). Barca could have easily scored 5-6 goals had that been their intention.

You lot lost 4-0 to a Messi-less Barcelona with Sergi Roberto playing a main role.
I would even dare to say that these ~2 months without Messi last season was the best football Barca played that season.
And yeah, he makes Suarez and Neymar look like pub players..... You did not even watch the game, I can bet my left nut...
100% he doesn't watch games. Then again this is the same jester that said Ronaldo was better than Messi
Usually people become more knowledgeable about the game when they join forum. First time I've seen a poster regress. And he wasnt the sharpest knife in the drawer before either.

Tbh Messi was the source of the 4th goal, just subbing in from long injury.Myesyats wrote:

Here's actual relativity.

15-16 SEV 0-2 BAR, no Suarez, Messi carried to win
16-17 SEV 0-2 BAR, no Neymar, Messi best player on field
16-17 BAR 3-0 SEV, no Neymar or Suarez, Messi best player on field
Which isn't to say Barca is bad without Messi, just that they aren't as good, shocking that is.
Argentina is whole different situation though, they are awful without Messi.

Re: Barcelona Are Ordinary!
IMO Barca would struggle big time to win the league and CL without Messi, Suarez, Iniesta, Rakitic, Busquets, Pique, Neymar.
It would become apparent then that they wouldn't be quite as good if they weren't quite as good.

There's absolutely no other offensive gameplan other than give the ball to the big 3. It's a good plan when you've got these 3 playing of course. But when they are out the team will struggle.
What an idiotic post. As if any big team wouldn't struggle if one of their best players was missing?
Not to mention Messi was missing for 2 months last season and Barca was amazing.
THANK YOU.Valkyrja wrote:When Messi turns on the style they are a completely different team. Never seen a team more dependent on one player. He makes the other 21 one players including his partners in attack look like pub players

That 4-0 was against a Rafa-coached Madrid who most probably wasn't even coaching them.
Here you have it, how Barca won the CL in 2011
and in 2015
Neymar and Suarez

Re: Barcelona Are Ordinary!
Barca were stolen a penalty by Viktor "Manchester" Kassai and City scored a hand goal gifted by Viktor "Manchester" Kassai, that's 2-2. But we were actually in control of the game at 0-1, then Roberto and Busquets started their City tapping.

Re: Barcelona Are Ordinary!
Their midfield selection, without Iniesta, look incredibly uninspiring. And to make matters worst, Busquets looks like he belongs at Espanyol than Barcelona at the moment.

Re: Barcelona Are Ordinary!
They're not ordinary, they're one of the best teams in the world and one of the favorites for this year's CL and La Liga.
Just because they lost to City, doesn't mean they're ordinary. It happens in football.
What's patently obvious though is that there's a huge difference between Barça's regular starters and their bench. The players they bought in the summer aren't good enough to take up the torch from Iniesta and Piqué.
