Expected lineup vs Inter
Buffon; Sandro, Chiellini, Bonucci, Lichtsteiner; Mandzukic, Khedira, Pjanic, Cuadrado; Higuain, Dybala
Barzagli is sick and as such is a doubt for Sunday. Marchisio has recovered but may not start since he is just coming back.

I think he will get time when and if we clinch the scudetto... they'll see if they need to go shopping this summer and loan him out or keep him if he's ready for Serie A

He will get some minutes for sure, I'm certain Allegri will want to test him out.

Happy that Mandragora is back. We refused to loan him out in the summer and now also in the winter. Lets hope that he hasn't been set back too much and come through his potential.

Crazy Cuadrado!
I missed half of first 45' but I can say we didn't dominate. Both teams were really poor at creating chances from midfield. Most actionsa came from wings and counters. We did had some great chances with Pjanic,Dybala and Dani Alves but glad we got 3 points. We were risking way too much playing the ball in our defense.Inter usually get lucky on such situations.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Well that was kind of expected given our formation and line up.
Inter lined up with 4 midfielders against our 2, the key is we have Bonucci and Chiellini who essentially are midfielders when on the ball, they are much more competent on the ball than their Inter counterparts.
To be honest, we did not play great but we played effectively. We could've been up early and really we should have through Dybala who was already walking off to celebrate scoring when the ball left his foot (and I was ready to join him).
Our defense remains the strongest facet of our game and while Inter had the ball a fair bit they never really created many clear cut chances despite having a great and talented attacking threat and a numerical advantage in the middle.
I don't really like Mandzukic on the left, I'll be the first to say it. I get that he has to play and he should. His fighting spirit, work rate are great but every time I see him off the left, it feels awkward.
Solid return for Marchisio who was so composed in this game. Dybala, Chiellini, Bonucci, Cuadrado were real standout players but everyone was fairly solid. Candreva was quite poor for Inter, as was Icardi and even Perisic was not his usual self today.

With Crotone, Cagliari and Palermo coming up in the next 10 days I'm hoping for some serious rotation. Let see Marchisio get back in shape plus Rincon and Sturaro back in the mix. Some Pjaca, Rugani and Alves in there too.
Then back in full strength for Porto after that.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Chiellini played really well actually, very composed. I don't see why Inter are crying for a penalty when slide tackled someone in the box. It was a clean tackle and clearly went for the ball. Maybe there is a doubt when in the corners, but Juve have outsmarted Inter.
I like Pjanic's contribution now. He is getting used to this Juve and is being much more composed than the start of the season.
We created better opportunities than Inter and should have scored more with Dybala's shot and Pjanic's FK (which Handonovic is very well to save). Handanovic was their only hero today IMO... He did well to save Higuain's and Pjanic's shots too.
Icardi was in Bonnuci and Chiellini's pockett. I haven't seen him in the entire game except for the 2 shots of target.... You can clearly see the difference in quality between Icardi and Higuain in this game. Higuain does much more to keep the ball in control and perhaps when defending.
For the next match. I definitely want to rest Madzukic, give Pjaca a go, swap Bonnuci for Rugani, Asamoah for Alex Sandro. We should go for Marchisio-Sturaro/Rincon-Pjanic, and the rest depends on whether it is a 433 or a 352.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
My prediction from Allegri's press conference
He mentioned that Pjaca could start, and that it could be at RW where he plays for Croatia. Otherwise he said that Dybala can also play on the right as he showed at the end of the Inter game. Chiellini, Marchisio, Mandragora, Lemina are out nursing themselves back to shape. Barzagli is back, one of Rugani or Benatia will play. Alves will play. Mandzukic will play LW. Probably no Sturaro to avoid making too many changes.
Higuain - Dybala
Mandzukic - Rincon - Pjanic - Pjaca
Sandro - Rugani - Bonucci - Alves
Buffon
Mandzukic - Rincon - Pjanic - Pjaca

As I typed that lineup I realized how much our team has changed, its weird. We really are transitioning out of the old guard.
Higuain, Dybala, Mandzukic, Rincon, Pjanic, Pjaca, Rugani, Alves, Sandro
9 out of 11 players weren't here 2 seasons ago

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Ogbonna too^
Credit to Marotta honestly. Swapping so many players while maintaining such a level is a pitfall for many clubs. Our transition period (roughly this and last season) is looking like 2 scudettos, at least 1 coppa, and at least two good CL showings.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Wouldn't mind throwing the B-team on the grill for this one. Crotone is Serie B material and cannot compete at this level, they are currently 19th in the league with 38 goals conceded. They have an absolute shit defense.
Cagliari are not top-class but they have a better squad and they took points away from Roma and Inter. Hope we rest our best players for the Sunday match against them.
With Marchisio playing the second half instead of Khedira, should be fair enough for a win imo

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Pjaca is starting, confirmed. It also seems that Sturaro is seen more as a vice Mandzukic than a part of the midfield duo in the new system (from Allegri's presser).
In about 1 month the club shuffled the midfield players who were too many and too poor. Hernanes is gone, Asamoah is preferred at LB, Sturaro at LM.
Reminds me of the days of Marchisio LM in the old 4-4-2, we've gone full circle
Lets see what Pjaca can do against Crotone, he'll probably not find much space with them likely parking it around their own box.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Rincon is so much better than our wonder trio of Hernanes-Sturaro-Lemina.
Pjaca probably our most dangerous player so far, could be cause he has more space than the center 2 though. Still, looking good.
We had 82% possession in the first 25 min
Can't find our way through though.
Alves sucks.

Did Allegri take the boys out to Burger King before the match ? Zero energy and zero enthusiasm on the field.
Crotone keeper is having a good evening so far, however, you can feel that the egg is cracking and the bird will be born somewhere around the 55th minute. Hope you understand the metaphor
Besides, i've had enough of Daniel Alves' shit crosses. Time to wake up now.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Yeah, it looks they will crack soon.
Alves did nothing right in that half. Screwed up a big chance, put a bunch of shit crosses, failed to jump to receive a long ball
The worst moment was receiving the ball from Buffon, in our backline, passing it Bonucci right next to him. Then he proceeded to slowly jog towards the center! not run down his flank, not hold position, he just said *bleep* it! and jogged to the center where he stood next to Khedira and Rincon for no reason. Pjaca was isolated on the right but he didn't care. Obviously nothing came out from that because the center is already overcrowded
I wish I could find a clip of that.

Who the hell knew Mandzukic would be such a great LM.
Excellent performance in the mid and the he pounced to score a rebound like the CF he is.
