I think it depends on how the season ends. If we win CL and Serie A I think his job here is finished. If we win Serie A and only make it to the CL semi-finals, I think he still has one more year left.

Cagliari have been playing well, defending well, but we hit them whe they didn't expect it. Good pass from Marchisio. Its been long time since he gave an assist.

Dybala is playing too much upfront. I think that his older deeper role is much better in creating chances. This game its been cuadrado trying to break through. Maybe it would be better if Pjaca came on for Mandzukic to give fewer reference points to Cagliari

Jammy game. Cagliari did a lot of things right. A great ball for Marchisio and a wonderful finish by Higuain made the difference. Cagliari will feel hard done.

The players lack the fighting edge, I guess its a mix of getting tired and saving strength for the CL.

Its 100% a 4-4-2. I've been writing it like that too. I think the media just calls it 4-2-3-1 cause it sounds more trendy.

Its an old school 4-4-2 with an SS and a CF. No inside forwards or AMs.

Yep, that is what I'm feeling too. But as I said before, Dybala should track back more.

With the skills and charatceristics Dybala has I guess he will explode of he's used kinda like Griezmann.
He is ok at doing short passes but he doesn't have that passing genius inside him.

He should either play like I said (which we can't afford cuz we have Higuain) or just play as a RWF to cut inside kinda like Robben and use his terrific left foot.

He has some really good passes! How come you couldn't see that!

His passes are the main reason Allegri plays him as a trequartista.

Hey all, long time no see, hope everyone is doing alright!

Thought I'd pop my head in and say hello

Dybala just has to adapt to the tactics.

Allegri has asked a lot from him this season, changing his role constantly to help out the team. It took him a couple of games to get great at playing behind the strikers earlier this season. Now it will take him a few games to play in the 4-4-2.

Even when he is not playing his best, he is still playing very well, its just that we have higher expectations for him than for the rest imo. Last game he was better than Cuadrado and offensively much better than Mandzukic.

At Palermo he was the one up front getting fed by Vazquez. With Pogba he was the one capitalizing on through balls and second balls headed down by Mandzukic. Then with Hugain he had to be the one creating the most (specially cause our midfield sucked at first).

Now with the 4-4-2 he is not the go-to man for the final ball/shot. A lot of times we see him drop back a bit, receive the ball from midfield and setup Cuadrado or Mand/Sandro on the wings, who then play it in the box for Higuain. With Pjanic playing and feeding the attack, he can go forward more and latch onto those through balls.

For example, with Pjanic playing
goal against Lazio
goal against Milan
Hit the post against Sassuolo

without Pjanic
no goal against Crotone
assist against Cagliari

Dybala has to be smart in playing between the lines. I think he is doing very well so far and will improve. He has the least positional restrictions out of anyone in our lineup which is cool I'm sure but it also means he has to interpret the game better in when to be a midfielder and when to be a striker.

I like it because I love the classic trequartista In this new role I see a Del Piero, Totti or Baggio.

One of my favorite teams of all time (for obvious reasons ) looked a lot like this one.


A lot of similarities with the defensive LM, the tricky pacy RM, the TQ role, etc. Buffon was in goal, Barzagli was on the bench for both teams

Bonucci and Buffon will start. One of Rugani and Benatia will join in. Mandzukic is suspended so its not sure how we'll play. Pjaca or Sturaro could replace him. Middle 3 or middle 4 unsure.

Pjaca according to Allegri should work harder. That is true IMO.

Must have been something about how pissed Max got after conceding that late goal for the 4-1. The other cases clearly I would side with Allegri and believe he is right. Now I see he might have to chill with the yelling and controlling a bit. First time I've ever heard of Bonucci fighting with a manager.
