Hahaha I have to think about it! My name is a classic so it will be hard to change it :p unless Sturaro does something extraordinary, it will be the same

You should keep your username Sal, at least until Sturaro plays 5 good games in a row. Been mostly an underachiever this season tbh.

Supercoppa on the 23rd, Pjanic is a doubt as he got that knock last match. Should be a close game again, hyped.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
i can see us dropping this one tbh
not that i see Milan as a superior team but because of the accumulation of unfavourable factors
- Not playing on our soil
- Some players missing
- Match of least importance
- Milan will be hungry to defeat us and claim a title
Supercoppa will be won on penalties imo

Naa man, we will go for it. I can tell because everyone is suggesting (Marrota and co) that we are hungry to add the first title of the season to the cabinet. We also want revenge.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
What do the Juve bros think about the match?
We started so well and then the level dropped too much. I agree with the words of a furious Allegri. Paraphrasing he said the whole team needs to work better in defense, not the defenders themselves as they did very well. That he has no regrets in terms of starting Pjanic over Dybala as the later had 60minutes and more than enough time to change the game. Finally and most importantly, that the players coming on did not have the characteristics he was looking for, as they were forced due to injury (Lemina and Evra).
This last point hits the hardest. Evra is the only LB we have so its clear that Allegri just can't rely on him this big situations. Lemina is not good for any tough situation, our midfield kept getting bypassed when he came on.
The most Lemina play ever happened of course, he recieves the ball in front of the defense, beats his first man very nicely so that you get excited, then passes to a Milan player 3m away to start a dangerous situation.
Evra is done, we need Sandro so much. Witsel needs to come and permabench this scrub.
Props to Higuain, Mandzukic wasn't good nor bad, Pjanic played well, the defense was good except for the moment Litch lost Bonaventura for the goal. Rugani is the real deal as always. Dybala looked good but missed the best chance to win it. Marchisio was our best player.

The moment Alex Sandro went out and with Licht being nothing more than average and slow I knew it.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Good recap rincon. I didn't watch the game well sadly, as I had trouble streaming it, but from what I saw, the 4312 is good and flows well in our team. Otherwise, what you said Rincon is true. I think that it is obvious now that our midfield is lacking strength. We were unlucky with injuries, but we could have done better. We conceded lots of chances too.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
We had a shot to win, but Milan did play well and you can say they deserved to be tied at the end.
Our midfield is sh**. Watching Sturaro amd Lemina giving up easy passes to the opposition on a regular basis is starting to boil my blood. The midfield engine we once had is gone. Pogba, Vidal and Pirlo were just a joy to watch and allowed us to play to our strengths. We have zero connection now with the defence and forwards. Dybala always has to play back to get the ball up to the forwards and carry the play.
Like I said 100 times the 3-5-2 is finished. Yes we played a 4-3-1-2 yesterday but unfortunately we don't have the players yet to play it to perfection.
We need an overhaul in midfield. Witsel is a must. I'd cut the cheque for N'Zonzi tomorrow. Don't care if he can't play CL this year. Just play him in all Serie A games and give Khedira lots of rest for the CL games. Can't wait for Bentancur to arrive next year. And Gagliardini is also a must. He is more important than Caldara.
As for the forwards we need to see what Pjaca can do. His injury was unfortunate. As well we seem to be very Dybala dependent. That is not good. I want to see what Berardi does in the second half. If he lights it up then he is also a must buy in the summer. We cannot just rely on Dybala to carry our offence. Higuain has been playing great but he needs service. He needs more than just crosses from the outside. We need another inside presence like a Berardi who can cut inside and feed Higuain in the box. We also need Pjanic to be a full time trequartista.
I think Allegri looks frustrated out there. He wants and needs more players and more talent. Marotta needs to bring him that talent. We are too predictable these days. Teams have caught on to us.
Here's hoping to a great 2017. We have a shot at the treble. With the right mercato in January we can have a similar year to 2015.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Well the midfield definitely needs to be fixed but having said that , we still controlled the game, the biggest problem here being the likes of Khedira and Sturaro were making offensive plays and our most creative player was taken off when instead Mandzukic should've been taken off which would've greatly improved our combinational play.
I get that Mandzukic does some good things like tracking back or holding up play and laying the ball off to his partner but he's still very limited for a club like Juventus who aim for big things, simply put, more talented and skilled players should be playing in offensive positions. Hopefully he occupies the bench in the 2nd half of the season. If we want to improve on a technical level as Allegri says, you play your best and most technically skilled players.

I have to say that while the starters were on we dominated and would have won imo. Still very well played by Milan, unlike the Inter loss this one shouldn't trigger too many alarms. Well played by both teams in the end.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Just some perspective on Allegri:
When he was at Milan and won the scudetto he had these players up front...
Cassano
Pato
Robinho
Ronaldinho
Ibrahimovic
Inzaghi
Borriello
Seedorf
Boateng
He played primarily a 4-3-1-2. He never played a 3-5-2 before. So I don't get the idea that Allegri likes to play a conservative style. He inherited a conservative Conte team and has tried to shift it over the last 3 years to be a more balanced attack minded team. The problem is he always switches to his safe zone when things get tough as that is the strength of the team.
This team will always be conservative as long as this 3-5-2 formation is implemented. It is a conservative formation by nature. You can't have an attack minded team when you are playing with 3 CB's and with wing backs who are constantly crossing the ball into the middle and hoping something great happens.
We need to be pushing the attack from the middle and involving both Dybala and Higuain as true strikers, not having Dybala constantly tracking back to start a rush or a counter. We need our midfielders doing that.
I would actually welcome Hames to this team next year. I'm sure we can integrate both him and Pjanic at the same time or have one sub the other. If we are always chasing 3 trophies every year then we definitely need the depth.
At least one of Hames or Berardi need to come next summer. Both might be overkill. But ONE must come. The fact that our midfield will be overhauled will allow us to switch to a permanent 4-3-1-2 formation. As for Hames and Pjanic playing together I think that would only work if you had two strong mezzalas playing alongside them. Witsel and Gagliardini would work and you would be benching Marchisio in that situation.
Anyways those are my thoughts. I just hope we ditch this 3-5-2 for good. It just doesn't work in the CL. And it's boring. Getting Caldara is more to do with Barzagli retiring in 2018 and covering for Chiellini who is always injured versus keeping the 3-5-2 alive indefinitely. He won't come until 2018 by which time Barzagli will be retired and Chiellini will be a sub or in the treatment room.

Its not to do with the formation its the players and the instructions. Doesn't have to be defensive or boring. Just think of Brazil wrecking everyone in 2002 with a back 3.

I blame Marotta and Paratici and Allegri was right to yell at them after the game.... he ahd every single right. They destroyed what was the biggest plus on this and the most WC part, and brought who? Lemina? Sturaro?
@hashim0307 hash look at how Allegri is talking to Paratici/Marotta, resignation incoming? pic.twitter.com/4p34qsH8A3

What Devi said. The moment Sandro left I knew we were going to have troubles. Suso played with our defenders like he was Messi.
Next season we need to remove some old players and bring quality midfielders ASAP.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Is it such a big deal that we lost ? Of all the competitions we could win this season, the Supercoppa is the least important.
Allegri snaps because he has no option in the midfield. That's probably what he was mad about
"Hey Beppe, give me a *bleep* talented midfielder or i'll take a shit in your boots"
These are available picks for the coach when he decides who plays
- Marchisio
- Pjanic
- Khedira
- Dross
- Dross

- Dross
If Allegri resigns or is forced to do so, this would be a huge disappointment.

We actually kinda outplayed Milan for the most part imo.
Also it's obvious that Marotta & co questioned Allegri about our performance and then he simply blamed it on the players, which was right because imo he got the game and subs totally right..
Don't think it's such a big deal and even more impossible that the argument had to do anything with our signings.

Allegri has no blame here and I don't think the management was blaming here either. The news that popped about it were that he was furious with the players.
He couldn't do much more, he started the most sensible team. Then had to force 2 subs due to injury. The last sub was Dybala coming in which was obvious.
