This movie. My god. It was so funny
Basically no plot or story. But the characters were fun. As a comedy it was amazing. Music was great.
There is five end credit scenes. One with a big story/character reveal. Other 4 were fillers that made it easier to get through the credits.

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
One of the funniest films I have seen in a long time.
Great film overall. Entertaining from 1st min to last. It was more character driven this time which was fine.
Main cast was so good.
8/10

More character driven? It was nothing but
There actually wasn't any plot or purpose to the story.

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
I thought it was. They focused on individual characters a lot more than the 1st one. There was no plot indeed. But each of the characters had a lot more exposure than the 1st film.

lmaooooo
The humour was so on point ffs.
I didn't mind 5 post credit scenes either. Didn't really feel that different to normal

Rather disappointed to read the plot is taking a backseat, but it's Marvel so oh well.
Will be seeing it next weekend.

Loved it. Just watched today.
Super funny, exciting, beautiful to look at, great music ofc, and the characters got so well developed.
I was expecting worse from reading that the plot took a backseat, but its fine if the character focus is done this well.
Gotg 1 and 2 must be some of my favorite mcu movies.

Nah lack of plot doesn't affect it at all. Still a great watch.

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
- Spoiler:
- I can't believe they actually pulled off a planet being the bad guy
GOTG just pulls off so many things that seem ridiculous. A talking raccoon,
groot, fighting a planet, 2 characters without social skills whatsoever (Draxx and Mantis), gold people, etc.
Really like the sovereigns as well, they got every character on point.
Yondu and Rocket were fantastic.

Watched GOTG 2. It was hilarious. Agree with RG's assessment on it.
- Spoiler:
- Stan Lee confirmed at Uatu?
Can't believe they are going to do Infinity Gauntlet storyline without Adam Warlock

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
Just got back from it. It's as you guys said: Absolutely hilarious and non stop.
It did not disappoint. Hell that's probably worth a rewatch at some point.
- Spoiler:
- Love the Sovereigns. Didn't read a lot of GOTG comics so I knew nothing about them, but they were quite entertaining, especially the high priestess.
Drax was amazing ....Rocket had maybe 2 or 3 scenes that were side-splitting,
but I think Drax had twice that number. Love him to pieces.
So many neat little cameos. Sly Stallone and Jeff Goldblum getting in there.
Howard the Duck as well.
Karen Gillan did really well with humanizing Nebula this go around. And of course Yondu.....the feels at the end. What an epic send off he got.
My favorite post-credit scene? Easily Drax getting stuck with Yondu's arrow

This is legit Spider-Man marketing
Tom Holland's full performance of Rihanna's “Umbrella" on Lip Sync Battle.

The same amount every comic book movie.
Think it's 3 though. Nah it's four.
None of them spoils though. So that's good. Really think it's gonna be good.
Chris Pine is my favorite Chris.
