Juventus has moved a step closer – he’s been house-hunting in Turin.

The Real Madrid midfielder has fallen out of favour at the Bernabeu, and has been strongly linked with a move away from the Spanish capital all summer.

Real Estate company Proto Group Ltd have said that the Colombian’s representatives have been in touch.

A statement read: “Representatives of James Rodriguez will this [Wednesday] afternoon be in Turin to confirm the renting of a villa in the city.

“For several weeks, we have been commissioned by the player to find a suitable home in Turin, and today we will close the deal.”

Rodriguez is set to be the latest big money addition to join Juve this summer as they continue to spend after selling Paul Pogba for a world-record £109million to Manchester United.

Gonzalo Higuain, Miralem Pjanic, Marko Pjaca, Mario Lemina and Dani Alves all joined the Italian champions this summer, while Blaise Matuidi is also on the way.

i am extreme critical always but marota has done some magic this summer even with no james, no matudi its still cool we have guys like higuain, pjanic, pjaca, alves, benatia

we also have asamoah back from injury which is really good

but adding james and matuidi would depress the sht of the rivals

If we purchase both Matuidi and James, Bayern and Madrid would most likely not even show up.  Barca would be 50/50...

Almost zero chance of Juventus signing James - Marotta

James Rodriguez will not be joining Juventus this transfer window, according to chief executive Guiseppe Marotta.

Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta insists there is "almost zero chance" of luring James Rodriguez from Real Madrid to the Serie A.

The Italian champions have been linked with a move for James, who has found limited opportunities under Zinedine Zidane at Madrid.

An €80million transfer from Monaco in 2014, James was one of Madrid's best performers in his first season, but an injury sent him down the pecking order last term.

However, Marotta says Juve are not trying to land the Colombia international, who was the top scorer at the 2014 World Cup.

"There is almost zero chance of signing James," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"In every case between Real Madrid and Juventus there is a great relation of esteem and mutual affection."

Speaking at the draw for the Champions League, Marotta added: "With [Real Madrid president] Florentino Perez we joked about a few names but today we did not talk about any footballers because they want to keep their players."

I think this team is really good one

We are apparently going after sissoko now.

I truly hope we don't spend any money on Sissoko. That's gonna be another Hernanea but more expensive.

Allegri said that Marchisio's recovery is going well and that Sturaro will be back by next week.

We don't need an expensive scrub.

I fear we are going for a panic buy like Hernanes last year.
We can't make a deal in final days without being too overpriced as the selling team will want to replace the player.And that's for mid-table teams as top clubs wont even talk about it.

I'd rather throw 20-25 mln € on young talents like Neves or Tielemans than Sissoko or other scrubs.

I almost have convinced myself that Sissoko would be an alright signing.
