So much overreacting. We lost 2 players. 2. Tevez and Pirlo are a different case as both basically retired.

Now we are a 2nd tier club because 2 players left, one which went back to his youth club and one which Agnelli didn't want at Juve.

You know whats more like a 2nd tier club? to beg for players to stay. Di Maria threatened to leave Madrid if he didn't get his way after winning the CL as a top player and Madrid immediately dispatched him and moved on. CR and Tevez both left United in a short time frame, Kroos chose to leave Bayern, etc.

This is Juve, if players don't want to play the club then they shouldn't and we'll keep winning.

The squad today is much better than its been in a long time. Our only answer in attack against Barcelona in the CL final was Kingsley Coman coming off the bench. The only real sub we had from midfield was Pereyra and permainjured Caceres was our best defender after the starters.

This year we are the only team in europe to top the league so far and win the CL group. Play badly or nicely this Juve wins so much.

Every year the squad has been improving. Moving forward with the players that want to play and increasing the quality.

+1 to my man the General.

Players are bought and sold each season, what's the matter as long as we are constantly trying to improve and field a competitive team?

Comparisons to Arsenal? We've won 5 scudetti in a row, we've won 2 coppa Italia crowns, we went to the CL final two seasons ago. We broke our transfer record on a player in this past window, in both selling and purchasing. We have promising young players on the rise and veterans capable of doing the business right now.

Yes, we sold Vidal and Pogba. We also signed them for scraps and made them established players. Do you think Juventus is the cause or the effect of their success? I believe it goes hand in hand.

The only team that rivals our success in terms of building and rebuilding squads is Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid who have both, in vastly different ways, been immense on the market in the same time frame.

Breaking: Real Madrid offer Juventus €90m and Morata for star striker

04/01/2017, 18:00

The Sun claim that Real Madrid have made a crazy offer for Juventus star Paulo Dybala.

The Wapping tabloid claims (via Tribal Football) that Real Madrid are offering €90 million plus former Bianconeri striker Alvaro Morata in a swap deal for the Argentine.

The rumour mill has gone wild since the Argentine’s frustrations at earning less than Gonzalo Higuain became public.

The London paper says that Juventus weren’t so convinced, asking for Toni Kroos or Luka Modric to be put on the table. Real refused.

Though the Sun claim that Juventus are desperate not to sell Dybala, the fact that Juventus are even offering a new deal is possible evidence that they’re ready for another Pogba-like exit.

Dybala scored 19 Serie A goals last season, adding nine assists and confirming his key role in Turin, as well as on the world scene.

He was linked to Barcelona, too, only for Neymar’s refusal to move to PSG blocking the Catalans from making any big acquisitions.

ALL STORIES, CLUB NEWS
Marotta: ‘Juventus want top midfielder’
JANUARY 4, 2017
Juventus GM Beppe Marotta has confirmed the arrival of Mattia Calada while declaring Juventus are “looking for a top player” in midfield this summer.

Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, Marotta confirmed that a top-class midfielder is the main objective for the Bianconeri in this summers transfer window.

“We’re happy with our squad in every department,” Marotta told the Italian paper.

“Compared to October we’ve bought Rincon and got Marchisio back, so two more players.

“In addition, we’re nearing completion for Caldara, so for signings we’ve already got two done.

“January is also used to work for the future, we’ll have some contact for players who aren’t available right now. We took Caldara because he suits our model, we’ve got great professionals in defence but they’re a bit older and we have to think of the future.

“We’ll let them [Atalanta] loan him for six months and probably next season too, because we’re good in defence, we have Benatia who we’ll probably sign outright.

“In midfield we have some interesting young Italians, and we’re looking for a top player in that role who will be available for next season.”

Marotta also addressed Max Allegri’s outburst following Juve’s defeat in the Supercoppa at the end of last year.

“I’ve seen a lot of other Coaches have angry outbursts after a game,” Marotta shrugged.

“I’d characterise it as an adrenaline outburst. We lost on penalties, I don’t see how you can reproach players who have given us so much satisfaction.

“We’re winter champions and we finished top of our Champions League group. Losing a game is understandable, it’s just because Juve are so used to winning that there’s such regret.”

Juventus want to sign Real Madrid defender next summer
04/01/2017, 20:20

Juventus want to sign a new right-back in summer 2017 and have set sights on Real Madrid defender Danilo, according to rumours in Spain and Italy.

The Brazilian defender is struggling with game time under Zinedine Zidane as the French manager prefers Spanish right-back Dani Carvajal who can provide more cover for the Merengues’ defence.

The 25-year-old Brazil International joined Real Madrid in summer 2015 for € 30 million but according to both AS and Repubblica, the LaLiga giants would be open to sell him at the end of the current campaign as the former Porto man has struggled to adapt to life in Spain and is one of the few players who will be allowed to leave if the club receive a decent offer.

Danilo has only nine appearances in all competitions with Real Madrid so far this season and with Juventus looking to rejuvenate their defensive right flank, the Old Lady will consider a concrete offer to submit to Real Madrid at the end of the season. The Spanish club would not be open to sell any of their players in January as they’ve been handed a one window transfer ban that will end at the end of January.

the accent is on IF we continue selling/ letting key players go just because they want to elave.

Juventus €80m for Verratti
By Football Italia staff

Juventus are reportedly prepared to meet Paris Saint-Germain’s €80m asking price for Marco Verratti in June.

The Bianconeri have decided to splash the cash on the Italy international for next season.

Juve director Beppe Marotta already confirmed that they would bring in a big star name for the midfield in 2017-18.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are even ready to pay €80m for the 24-year-old talent.

It would be effectively the midfield version of their €90m investment in Gonzalo Higuain, who was signed from Napoli six months ago.

However, while Higuain had a release clause in his contract, it remains to be seen whether PSG will be happy to sell Verratti to Juventus.

The two clubs are not on good terms following the Kingsley Coman incident and Paris Saint-Germain already slammed the door shut on target Blaise Matuidi.

Juve do have one important element in their favour, as Verratti is a self-confessed Bianconeri fan.

Sacchi: 'Juventus for Champions League'
By Football Italia staff

Arrigo Sacchi is “certain this can be the right year for Juventus” in the Champions League. “They’re in the top two or three clubs in the world.”

The former Milan and Italy Coach gave his views to La Stampa newspaper.

“I am certain this can be the right year for Juventus in Europe,” said Sacchi.

“If you look at the other big clubs on the continent, they are struggling. Just look at how Real Madrid had to scrape a victory in the Club World Cup in extra time. At the top of the Premier League are Chelsea and Liverpool, two teams who are not in the Champions League.

“Juve have everything it takes to win the Champions League: a fine Coach, players and club. They just need to believe in themselves more.

“Over the last 40 years the Champions League has gone to those who dominate, apart from two or three exceptions. By dominate I mean that way of taking control of the game and believing in themselves more than the opposition.

“In Serie A, Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli are a joy to behold, while Roma always try to play attacking football, but Juve are on another level.

“The Bianconeri have this superiority in terms of confidence, rules and style that I don’t see anywhere else in Italy. In fact, looking further afield, I believe Juve to be one of the top two or three clubs in the world when it comes to organisation and vision for the future.”

Juventus set to make Benatia move permanent: exclusive details

Juventus are set to sign Medhi Benatia on a permanent deal and calciomercato.com has exclusively learned the details of the Morocco International’s permanent transfer to the J Stadium. The club’s CEO Giuseppe Marotta revealed yesterday that Juventus are likely to sign Benatia on a permanent deal at the end of the season.

The former AS Roma defender moved from Bayern Munich to Juventus on loan last summer. The Serie A giants have already paid € 3 million for the player’s season loan and are required to pay € 17 million more to make the rock solid centre-back move permanent.

Juventus’ are set to activate their option to buy Benatia even if the clause included in the defender’s contract is not mandatory. The Old Lady has a gentleman agreement with Bayern Munich which basically puts Juventus in the condition of signing the player on a permanent deal provided that he proves to be fit during his loan spell at the club.

Benatia has suffered a muscular injury but, overall, has enjoyed a good shape and even if the 29-year-old defender is now a back-up to promising Italian centre-back Daniele Rugani, the club believes that Benatia can be a good addition to strengthen the team’s defence and the bianconeri are set to make his move permanent.
