quality analysis, Deschamps is a world class moron, he doesnt know how to get the best how to his players. Pogba should play with someone like Kante who can anchor him, not the other way around. When you have two mids, Matuidi and Pogba, and you chose to give the freedom to Matuidi

Thats the issue I have got with this deal if it do happen. Rooney simply isnt going anywhere. So Pogba if he comes will be confined to a similar role to the one he played today. May be not to the extent the lunatic Deschamps put him through, (here he was their deepest cm, even Matuidi, a DM by trade was playing in a relatively advanced role to Pog), but still I can see him getting pretty much tied down.

As far as Madrid's interest is concerned, It was a big stage and he didnt perform. Flo already didnt want him if reports are to be believed. So if this match did anything, it only worsened the odds for him securing the move, thats all. I was only putting 2 and 2 together. No big deal. So chill HH!

agree with hapless on the scouts and knee jerk thing; playing for national teams can usually be a tougher experience, especially for players who play at great clubs. even if the national team has talented players. pogba at juventus or utd if he moves there, will probably not meet too many teams as disciplined as portugal were, and he'll also have mates with whom he'll play long enough to get used to. i doubt he'd be sold for less all of a sudden. and there's still the agent fee (based on rumors, not sure how true that is). i highly doubt that's going away cos of this game

Glory has a point about Perez and his preference for international tournament MVPs.

His technique won't allow it and that combined with his poor decision making means he's very inconsistent. The work rate might translate though as he was working very hard for us each game since Rafa arrived.
