Casemiro is great for what we need. Become a very good player. But best DM of the world... not quite. Kante is easily the best DM in the world. Different kinds of DMs though.

Anything Valk writes always should be taken with the pinchest of salts. He changes his mind constantly. Casemiro ain't no scrub, we all know this.

That twitter post is exactly why I would worry if/when Madrid signs him. Us fans could take many jabs at Barcelona but players at this club would not and cannot ever do something like that. Excellent footballer though...

there is no one that protects the backline and win tackles as good as casimero.

Ceballos was barely 15 when he wrote that...I'm sure he's not dumb enough to repeat that sort of behavior. We might be getting a little stacked in midfield prospects but i hope that papa flo goes after the kid.

Busquets is far and away the best DM in the world after Marchisio's injury. Casemiro is a good pure destroyer, but he's inept in possession. Hurts my eyes seeing him on the ball. We can do better without spending a cent

but one can argue that Busquets is a mediocre destroyer too. he is poor at the things Casemiro excel at. If the whole barca team are not pressing Busquets can't protect the back 4 the same way Casemiro could.

So you need a DM that makes sense for your team, obviously if you can find a destroyer that is equally great at distributing and passing from the back, perfect. But for our set up, given the acres of space we tend to give up with BBC, Casemiro makes more sense.

Now if our game evolve and we start playing more with 4 midfielders, being more effective at pressing in block and owning possession, you will see that Casemiro's strength are less important.

that's football, a game of balance.

or if you bring in wingers that track back and support the the mids. Playing 3 strikers make a DM indispensable.

Madrid transfer update from Cope:
- club is trying to close Ceballos for 15 mil and he will stay at Betis
- Mariano Diaz is going to Lyon for 8 mil and Madrid will retain 50% of the rights on a future transfer
-Donnarumma: club not interested to sign him this summer (amen), so he might renew with a release clause we could pay next summer (fck no)
-Mbappe: he is seen as Benzema replacement, because the club still believes in Bale (fck off) and CR wont go anywhere
-Vallejo is staying as replacement of Pepe. Lucas Hernandez was offered for 55 mil but madrid rejected it.
-there is no interest in selling Danilo (), and if we do it will be for 30 mil to recoup what we spent.
- there is no interest for sandro ramires lol
-the sale of james and Morata still not done.

Ceballos looks like a decent prospect, but I'm not sold. He looks incredibly frail for a player who's supposed to be at the heart of the field.

I've also seen multiple reports of him having attitude issues that I wouldn't want anywhere near our team.

On the positive side he is incredibly technical in both dribbling, and ball control. I think many people are painting him like an Isco or Modric- question is do we want to go through the growing pains of a young player converting from an AM to CM?

Well, based on what i've seen of him, he already looks more like a CM than an AM. In terms of his passing ability, physique, and where i've seen him play in videos, he looks more like a Xavi, Gundogan, Modric type of player, whilst Isco will always be an AM first, more in the mold of an Iniesta.

Modric probably has 3 or so seasons top with us left, there should be room for kids like Ceballos and Valverde by then if they do pan out.
