Which teams will go through? (Choose 2, please)
Re: EURO 2016 France - Group D
Hope not. They are a very good team. It will be sad to see them go out that way.
Croatia just missed a massive chance to top the group and you are incentivized if you top this group because after France, it is potentially the 2nd easiest road to the semis. They won't go very far if they finish 2nd.

Re: EURO 2016 France - Group D
So far the inability to manage the public order by France was embarassing . I don't know how much it depends on ISIS and so many energies were concentrated on it, but i don't remind another tournament where the incidents of hooliganism were on the agenda. Luckily Italy (just saying a place where ultras can cause problems) has never ultras organized groups for NT (Russia has CSKA and Lokomotiv ultas for Russia ... imagine Napoli and Roma together for Italy) but it's followed just by families

@Robespierre
There was an interview with the security chief of the WC2006 two or so days ago and he said that the French security guys were not really interested to contact the hooligan-experienced police forces of the other countries and get proper help from them so far.
He said that for the 2006 World Cup, the security staff started 3 years before the tournament to discuss possible problems with the foreign security forces and they invited around 80 police officers per country who had knowledge of their hooligan scenes to help curb any problems.
The French security were offered by German police forces to go against the known German hooligans, but they didn't accept any help. Moreover, they only invited only around 8 security people from the other countries to help them with possibly violent "fans".

Re: EURO 2016 France - Group D
It was about the same in 2004 and 2008. 2012... not so much but i think that had to do with Ukraine not really being a destination so attendance from some of the typical hooligan countries was down.
The terrorist threat hasn't helped. Most resources are directed towards that threat. Stopping hooligans is very much a 2nd concern when it was on top in previous tournaments.

Also keep in mind that UEFA is responsible for security measures in the stadiums... the organizing country is responsible for everything outside the stadium.

Spain are aabsolutely owning it.
Morata and Nolito are like a breath of fresh air for Spain from the days of having Fabregas as striker and Iniesta as a left winger.

I was told that they suck and that Brazil with their Eliases and gold knows who else are better .

If Iniesta and Silva keep playing like this, they might just win it again. On paper they look the best team right now especially if you count Germany play Flopze as a striker and CB's in fullback positions.

Surprised I'm not seeing a "Is Spain destined to 3peat at Euros" thread or something. So far, they have probably looked the best team and put in the best performances.

I'm biting my tongue. I'll just waiting to remind the British and French supporters, what bold predictions they made and how bad they said the Spanish team was. However you don't win anything in 2 games.
How about Morata and Nolito? They have totally changed the way Spain has traditionally played to allow more direct at opportune times.

I think its only Mole that underrated Spain. Everyone else rates them fine. They have a fairly comfortable road to the semis should they top the group.

Spain looks scary af. Morata has such good positioning. Nolito is surprisingly good as well. Spain is definitely going far.

Re: EURO 2016 France - Group D
Spain is still one of the best teams in the world and the last WC was just their France 2002 moment .
I see them picking up a trophy or reaching a final in the next four years ( possibly this year too.. ) .

Re: EURO 2016 France - Group D
Silva looks a totally different player while playing for Spain. Much more involved too. Was so underwhelming for City this past year and has barely made an impact at CL level for City.
Not the case when he plays for Spain though.

Naw, go back and look at Spain NT thread. There are a number of them, Art Molde, Nick, Sports, etc etc. I've taken note!!

Re: EURO 2016 France - Group D
And how about all those that slammed Iniesta, all season long. He has been mom in both games.
On one play (Morata goal), there were 21 passes, 7 by Iniesta, and everyone but Pique was involved!
