Re: CL QF / Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid
I don't really see anything wrong with Busquets actions. I don't like to see it , but he did what any footballer would do in a CL quarterfinal, down 1-0 at home. It was a yellow card worthy tackle, Torres committed it. Don't blame Busquets for Torres being an idiot and getting himself a second yellow. Whether he goes down like that or not, Torres is still getting that yellow.
Anyway, if you think there is a single player on your team that wouldn't go down like that, you're delusional.

The point is there's 10+ challenges like this every game that goes unpunished. But the referee put himself in a position where he was able to gain some spotlight and show off his manhood.
Anyways, don't care who goes through from these two teams, I'm afraid of both.

How is Filipe such a monster for Simeone but such an average player for Mou?

It's not the two yellow cards I have a problem with, persay, it's the ref's inconsistency, and lack of respect for such a high-profile game. Sure, he had all the right in the world to hand out those two yellow cards, but he also effectively ruined the game for the sake of "protecting the players".
He did his job handing these cards out.
If he didn't do his job in some other moments that's ok to criticise but pls don't start this "respect for a high profile game" bs.
There was nothing iffy about this.
Can't belive I'm defending Barcelona, I should actually be the one calling them Uefalona must be all the drugs
Well, I for one, am not rooting for neither Atletico, nor Barcelona (contrary to popular belief), but this game just turned into a pile of shit
I ref, and I'm a lenient ref. I like to let people play, I wouldn't ref La Liga because those refs are of a different mentality from me. So I understand what you're saying Thimmy.
Thing is, it's not the refs job to make the match good. It's not his job to try and "avoid" giving out early reds. It's his job to enforce the rules. If the players are idiots like Torres, they might ruin the match by doing stupid things. We don't blame Howard Webb for ruining the 2010 WC final, we blame the Netherlands and their dirty play. If anything, he was too lenient, and famously gave De Jong a single yellow card for a karate kick studs up into Alonso's chest.
Regardless, watching an Atletico game, you probably shouldn't expect a good game

We are playing allot better this half, the team is with better life but still just a tad bit off from regular form
I get what you're saying. Torres was just as reckless in his challenges after he received the first card, and the referee did nothing wrong according to the rule book. To be honest, I suspected he would get his second card eventually, seeing how reckless he was acting right after he had received his first card.
However, I would've preferred if the referee had been slightly more lenient. He could've at least let the match go on for a little bit longer before handing out the red. I don't care which one of the teams win today, but I was hoping for an entertaining game, and Atletico are just gonna park the bus now. Also, the ref doesn't seem to know whether he's strict or lenient.

Clearly he was not getting game time because Mou judged him worse than Azpi, and right now for Atleti he is playing at a higher level than him

I would of loved the game to still be 11 vs 11, trust me. You always want the best game possible as a spectator and as a fan you want your club to succeed with as little controversy and playing as beautiful as possible. Atletico that first half came out hacking everyone down, and Torres paid for it. They put themselves in that position, but yes I agree with you I wouldn't of minded if he gave him a warning instead of the 2nd yellow. But given the foul, I think it deff should of been a yellow, same with his first yellow. So to blame here is Torres, honesty didn't even know he could still play with that much aggression lol

It was more about Ivanovic being undroppable in Mou's eyes considering Azpi is actually a RB tbh. But he hardly got a chance in a new country and new team so i don't see how it's fair to compare tbh.
