His offensive contibution is underrated. What a player.
To think that at 21 he was not playing pro.

Is there anyone suited more to Ballon d'Or than him? Maybe Benzema but madrid ruined it for him.

He won't win because he doesn't fit the agenda for winners
KdB is at the forefront unless France manages to win the Euros then its Kante

Benzema had an amazing season with Madrid, but since we didn't win anything, I'm afraid he has no case.
If France wins the Euros, he'll have a very strong claim though.

Re: N'Golo Kanté Appreciation
There is absolutely zero chance that Kante wins the BdO even if France wins and he's their best player... because it's rigged.
If France win, it will be one of Mbappe or Benzema. Of course, since it's rigged, it could also be Messi lol.

Not only does he need a flawless Euro-winning performance, but he also needs an uncharacteristically high-scoring tournament to even be in contention. Something like Sneijder's 2010 WC when he outscored Van Persie and Robben.

Re: N'Golo Kanté Appreciation
If Messi wins Copa America that is somehow again being hosted by Argentina thanks to the corruption of Argentinas FA and CONMEBOL, yeah I see Messi winning it. As sports said, it's rigged.

His attacking game has improved immensely in the last 2 years. He is so good even as an 8. Transitioning king.

Re: N'Golo Kanté Appreciation
Performance in the 2nd leg against Real was probably the best indivudial performance of the 20/21 season
and it was much, much more of an 8 than a 6, as RG pointed out

Senijder also won the treble that year was a finalist in the WC and still didnt finish top 3 lol. Let me guess. Messi won that year for some bullshit reason?

I cant believe you guys mention Benzema and completely ignore Lewandowski. Not only was he defrauded last year, he's still being undervalued today #herrenvolk #injusticia

Lewandowski breaking Gerd Müller's goal record in Bundesliga (in <30 games no less) is easily the greatest achievement of the season
no coincidence that we went out to PSG without him

Re: N'Golo Kanté Appreciation
You guys
I never said Lewa (or anybody for that matter) didn't deserve it. I was just replying to RG's comment about Benzema's chances of winning it (I even said he has no case as things stand).
Obviously what Lewa did this season is nothing short of monstrous, and he definitely deserves it more than Benzema.
But as a Madrid fan, I'm grateful to what Benzema did this season because gods knows it wasn't easy. He was the only ray of hope in an otherwise terrible, terrible attack.
His partners were two overrated kids, an overweight dude who's never fit, a bitter disappointment crawling to the name Asensio and Lucas fucking Vasquez. And yet, he wraps up the season with 30 goals. How many strikers can do that? Not many I'll bet.
And when things got dark and everybody else got injured, he stood alone surrounded by mediocrity in the face of the storm, and single-handedly carried Madrid to the finishing line. How can I not respect that?
His performance was so good, it forced DD to call him up again to the NT. It was so good, it made me, undoubtedly his most ardent and harsh critic over the years, to tip my hat to him and say "Thank you".
He maybe doesn't deserve to win the BdO, but he deserves the eternal gratitude of every Madrid fan for making us believe in miracles this season. For making us believe that even when the team is so shitty, even when the club is so badly ran, as long as there's the name Benzema written on the back of the shirt of Madrid's number Nine, there is always hope.
Thank you, Benz. Thanks for everything. You're a true fucking royal white.

oh my god, I'm melting! I'm actually melting!
Look how nice and humble he is. And that smile of his can light up the world:
@sportsczy: Bring him to Madrid. I don't care how, just do it.

Re: N'Golo Kanté Appreciation
He'll never leave Chelsea unless they ask him to leave... and why would they do that.
The only time there were some rumblings of him moving on was during the Sarri year... where Sarri made him an 8 full time to make room for Jorginho as the 6. In the end, it actually helped him because Kante, instead of pouting, did his best to become better on the attacking side... and he actually became a very decent number 8 as a result. So he's now both a 8 and a 6 at the same time since he has the energy of two players.
Enjoy him peeps. He's 30 now. With the way he plays, I'm not sure how much longer he can play at this level. Maybe 1-2 years.

Re: N'Golo Kanté Appreciation
Lol, Kante the perfect employee, tireless work everyday with a smile.
What about the other Chelsea players though? Mount I think has been consistently amazing. James had Sterling in his pocket. Chilwell keeping our Alonso who must be thinking what else he can do cos I think hes always done well as well? Rudiger basically has been a brick wall and took out De Bruyne lol... the new GK, etc, etc...

Re: N'Golo Kanté Appreciation
He reminds of Tigana... so much. Platini and Giresse played the way they did because Tigana allowed them the freedom. Kante is the same way.
Platini was super lucky at club too with Tardelli... who was also a monster similar to Tigana.
