That dribbling is just insane. 99 on FIFA wouldn't do it justice imo.

Ya, he has 32 in 47 since then, but still kind of a low amount given his goal scoring record with Barcelona and the talent that Argentina has on its team.

You didn't include era adjusted stats. No worries Harmonica will be at work soon enough.

Re: Neymar Watch Vol. II
Well, up to now Neymar has a similar production rate for Brazil (when Brazil is a really poor overall team) as Messi has had in his prime (46 in 69 = .66, 32 in 47 = .68).
This season Neymar's production is a goal or an assist every 62 minutes and Messi a goal or an assist every 65 minutes. To put that into perspective of course Messi last season produced a goal every 57 minutes (not accounting for penalties earned/scored himself which would probably bring the minutes up a bit). Now of course in Messi's best season he was producing every 48 minutes (absolutely ridiculous, by the way) so Neymar is still a ways off of that.
His heir apparent, or already his superior?

Lol, that's already common knowlege by now. I equally doubt anybody will atleast between now and the next 5 - 10 years.
Then again there's also the possibility that nobody will be better than messi in our life time!

Re: Neymar Watch Vol. II
That being said, I do believe that Neymar needs his own team, and fast at that! In as much as it hurts to say that. Ideally but now unfortunately, a team like juventus/inter/milan not those BPL teams hovering around his toilet!
When he the team is built around him, the guy suddenly turns to some footballing god! Those that followed him in santos since 2010 to 2013 should know what I'm saying.
He basically made santos relevant and feared in south america again and basically was getting into top 10 of Balon d'or from brazil (from 2011 - 2013). That's some otherwordly insane stuff..
Santos have hardly finished 6th place in even those regional state championships since he left. Infact santos hasn't challenged for any titles since he left.
This is incrdible considering that with him santos won the libertadores, the copa do brasil, the south american super cup, 3 straight state championships, got to another libertadores semi-final being eliminated on aggregate and was a finalist in 2 other state championships. All this in the space of 3 years.
What's more, there's virtually no individual title he didn't win in brazil or south america including being the youngest winner of the South America best player for 2 straight years before he left to barcelona.

Re: Neymar Watch Vol. II
Nope. Ney needs to stay. There's no team in BPL that can match up to what he aspires. And Real Madrid is not an option.
Has most chances to win Balon dor in Barca too.
Why would he leave the tridente MSN I really don't know.
Stop making up stuff to colour up football-less days. Neymar is fine and contract renewal is on the table.

This
Am not sure Neymar will benefit by leaving barca where he us surrounded by some of the most creative and skilful individuals in game today. On contrary. I would say that would be worst decision of his career if he leaves barca

Yep.
Why would he need to go to Inter or Milan? lol
Makes no sense at all.
Not counting the obvious fact that noone but Barca, Real, Utd, City and maybe Chelsea and PSG can afford him.

Re: Neymar Watch Vol. II
Do you guys even read posts? As for you linetty, I don't understand you really, so where did I make stuff up? By Saying he should leave? isn't that supposed to be my opinion? Btw, you really think Neymar can win the balon d'or with messi still in this team? Lol
@hans where did I say neymar will go to juventus/milan/inter? If u actually read my post, I said, prefarably but unfortunately because serie A isn't what it used to be anymore so I know Neymar is sure as hell not stepping foot in serie A.
It was more of wishful thinking hence I didn't mention any other teams that could actually afford him like man city, psg, man utd, real madrid.
Meanwhile, why I mentioned those teams are because great brazillians have always seemed to historically and thrive in serie A just like La liga, from the 80's (the zico era) all the way to the 90's (the ronaldo era) and down to the 2000's (the kaka, dinho era)..
The climate, the culture, the football, the food etc.. But yeah, the financial situation and standard is currently at an all time low.

Re: Neymar Watch Vol. II
Why does he "have" to win balon for? Beyond any doubt he is the best young talent, also is arguably second best player in world today and is all set to become Goat for NT while being associated with one of the most famous trio of all time. Doesn't that mean something?

Re: Neymar Watch Vol. II
Yeah, it actually does mean a lot, its just probably the vein greed in me wanting him to win the balon d'or and the fact that I know he has the capacity to dominate the balon d'or.
We all know he wants it, and I believe you also want that to happen too.. But yeah, like you said, some things are generally more important than others..
Nice post from you btw..

Re: Neymar Watch Vol. II
The parallels between Ronaldinho/Beckham and Neymar/Bale are fantastic. We tricked them twice in the same manner in the space of a decade. Bought the best player in the world for less money while the evil bought the overrated british player. Thank you, Laporta/Barto
