Chielini & Co. silencing Bayern is a real possibility. The best team doesn't always win.

Beautiful season by him, he has been so good. He has fitness issues, that's the one problem, otherwise he is the best CB in the world.

Best CB in the world for me has to be Bonnucci who has been for 3 seasons now yet Cheillini, I would not argue if one picked the same.

Bonucci is best because he is always available. If Chiellini didn't have so many injuries I wouldn't even doubt it honestly. When Chiellini gets going and hits form he is amazing.

Bonucci is getting better and better, by the time he is Chiellini's age he will have had the greater career probably.

Havng them together is one of the things I enjoy the most about Juve.

And before that for a good 4 Years it was Barzagli, unreal to have 3 WC Cbs who also are World class as a unit, usually even amongst the top teams it's one or the other

High hopes for Rugani to be in the conversation by the time he's 26 or so.

Of his generation? Many people were quick to declare Messi, Suarez and Neymar as the best attacking trio in the history of the sport, no biggie, which is only natural considering how entitled football fans are these days. Chiellini + Bonucci kept a clean sheet against the supposedly best attacking trio in the history of the game over two legs. What does that say about them?

First goal is on him since he forgot to cover Ronaldo, he was looking all the time at Carvajal until it was too late. Also he didn't sleep well last night, maybe that's why he had to take a siesta during the 3rd goal action ?

About once a month Chiellini has a plays a poor match, always been like this. Whether it's misform or too much agrssiveness.
Disastrously for us Juve fans, this bad game was yesterday.

I honestly don't think he was that great.

He let Kane through on goal and Kane missed an open goal, that arguably could have ended the tie. He could have given away a penalty when he was run ragged by Kane again, and used his hand to hit the ball away (it was probably unintentional and it was probably not a penalty, but the ref was within his rights to call it after a very clumsy play by Chiellini)

In the first leg, Chiellini lost the ball in the final third which led directly to Dele getting the ball and immediately assisting Kane for the goal, and he gave away the free kick that led to the second goal.

That's not to say that Chiellini's performance once Juventus got two goal wasn't really good. He was clutch as far as that goes, but I'm highly confused as to why people are praising him.

He was at fault for the two away goals and got away with murder when Kane missed an open goal that could have ended Juventus. I'm not sure any amount of late game heroics makes this a good series for him.

Higuain is the player that should be praised. Other than the missed penalty, which was a big deal admittedly, he scored both goals in Turin, then scored and assisted out of nothing in London. Juventus's defense was overrated this tie, and aided by poor finishing by Tottenham. Juventus went through because of clinical finishing.

This is one of those examples of people getting a little too hyped and excited without examining the facts

As a collective, no, Jjuve's defense were not impressive, total agreement there but Chiellini for the 2nd leg was immense. Bar the incident where Kane basically out ran him due to being a quicker player, he really did well. In any case, he got a 7.8 rating so clearly those weird statisticians thought he was head and shoulders above everyone.

Yeah, i thought Kane and co. got the better off him in the first half. He was struggling with the agility of Tottenham players as was our entire defense but he turned it around in the 2nd with an epic performance.
