Can't believe we are making Fabregas look so good.
Look at all that space in front of the back four ffs.
You can dock an oil tanker there, and then some.

Coquelin can't get back fast enough for Arsenal. Flamini doesn't have it in him.
Making Fabregas look world class.

Chelsea pushing their full backs high. We are getting stretched wide because of the extra man. And there's nobody plugging in the middle then.
Basics.

Can't believe we're playing with Özil as the striker..
Should've moved Theo The Center Forward Walcott up there and put Özil wide.

Hang in there. Smoking a ciggie never made Arsenal play any better. Eventually, I broke the mental association between football and ciggies.

Maybe if Mertesacker didn't go down on the tackle, Cech might have kept him out.
Eventually, he scored anyway AND we're one man down.

Take the highlights reels of any Arsenal vs Mou's Chelsea game from the last decade.
That would sum up this match too.
There. Saved you time and effort.

It was a dive from Costa, but you've got to be stupid to give him the opportunity to do that. Mertesacker shouldn't have attempted the tackle.
Btw, Özil is being appalling once again when his team would need him the most. Misplaced passes left, right and center.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V8
What is it with our inability to keep 11 players on the pitch against Chelsea
Honestly, I would've preferred if they just Costa have a 1v1 against Cech. We'd go a goal down in all likelihood but at least we'd have a full compliment of players on the pitch. But with the red card we have to play 73 minutes with 10 men.
It was inevitable that our midfield would get exposed. Before that red card, look at how much space Willian had to run into. Flamini and Ramsey nowhere to be seen as they're casually jogging back from an attack. Of course Willian and Fabregas are going to run riot when we have no CMs. Just watch Flamini stand there and point at people while he actually does nothing to defend.
Will be happy with a point here if we can somehow pull it out of our arses.

Before that run, Costa made 4-5 similar runs. Not so hard for a grown up to comprehend that that is the game they are playing today

I also dont understand the exaggeration around here about Arsenal player getting a red card and down to 10 mean. You still have Walcott, Sanchez and Özil in your forward line. Everything is still recoverable imo.

LMAO after a couple of minutes I remembered the discussion on here between you guys about how Ramsey leaves Flamini alone with his positional indiscipline etc.
So I tried to figure out where Ramsey was and whether he was helping.
Then suddenly there was Flamini popping up in what is roughly a second striker position and I thought 'oops.. who's actually playing in CM'

Arsenal are not gonna win the league as long as keep they fielding players with small team mentality such as Koscielny. How he is rated as one of the best CBs right now is beyond me..
