Manga and Anime

This is a really cool project i found from One Piece fans for One piece fans who compressed the anime into a more direct adaptation of the manga. They cut episodes together removing fillers, redundant scenes (god i hate this) etc... good way to get the essential One Piece experience in a few hours.

No problem I wanted to go back to the beginnings again so I'm happy with that. It's actually amazing that Cody is the first person Luffy met outside of Shanks crew when he left his island. Cody had a big role in stopping the whiteboard war already, I wonder if he does t end up leading the internal marine revolution which will inevitably take place down the line.

Anyway, have you guys watched Violet Evergreen? Amazing anime, the animation is premium and one of the most emotionally powerful anime I have watched, recommend

Already read it, think I may have even mentioned it here a while back. Only just finished being translated a few weeks ago.

Read the Parasyte manga a few weeks back and watching the anime now. Loved the manga, anime is pretty faithful to it, it just takes place in a contemporary setting.

lol, what a coincidence, I started reading it yesterday myself, should finish it up within a week since it seems pretty short, had a few ppl keep telling me to watch the anime instead since it's animated by a top studio but I prefer manga when possible

I liked the premise of Prasyte, execution could have been better and I bet the anime was better for the action scenes, they were kinda flat in the manga. Too many stupid characters for my tastes. Felt the author could have prolonged it a little too, but overall it was a good read.

been slowly getting through Natsume's book of friends, you ever watch this RG? I forget.

Basically a hybrid of Mushishi x Studio Ghibli stuff, made by the woman who did Hotarubi no Mori E and very similar to it in tone and atmosphere

Impossible to marathon though as it's very much episodic (but has an actual cast of characters unlike Mushishi)

really enjoyable in doses of an ep a day or something. One of the best anime OST too.

I was going to but then i thought it might be a poor attempt at recreating mushishi. Perhaps one day.

@Firenze thoughts on Parasyte?

The anime is pretty good too except for the OST. They use EDM/dubsteb on some fight scenes which don't fit at all...

good stuff though, author has another series that's supposedly a very good read (historical based) Historie. Tempted to check it out but it's not finished and has a terribly slow release schedule.

Nah. Relax Mara ffs, it just plays on nostalgia. Although I am interested in the ending of the chapter, might even pick it up again for a while.

Nah the Whole Cake arc just finished, new arc is starting, looking like its gonna be INSANE

Reverie is a 10 chapters Arc to set up a lot of the big story points coming. Then we go to Samurai country, Wano

The best thing is a return of one of my favorite characters
