Messi should win it but tempted to vote for Florenzi. Absolutely insane how he had the presence of mind to get his head up when under pressure on the touch line.

Voted for Carli Lloyd. Think hers is the greatest goal. Messi's probably the best.

How FIFA can get the Puskas nods better than the actual Balon D'or is beyond me. Alas, the Mexes goal was Mendieta-esque, Carlito with that lovely run and of course, Messi goal was magical and would deservedly win.

I of course voted for the Carli goal since nothing beats a fifty yarder in a final...for me anyway.

As for the Mendieta reference...

Voted Messi.

Carli's was the greater goal since it was a hattrick in the final but this award isn't for the greatest goal. It's for the best individual goal regardless of the moment. Messi's goal is the best of the lot and it's not close.

When the most famous guy wins this award, you usually think it's only cause they're famous and low profile people like David Ball never have a chance of winning it.

But this time it isn't the case. Messi's is actually the best one there and it was in a cup final too.
