Men getting paid more than women for construction job, right or wrong?

Where I live women also take up construction jobs but they get paid less than men. Note that there is really no way a construction worker can be judged other than hours worked which will be almost equal for everyone. Men are indeed more efficient than most women.So is it wrong to pay women less?

Yes.

The problem here is male workers are generally more efficient in construction works but at the same some women may work better than the worst male worker. There is no way to judge the work done individually in construction field so women are generally paid less.

Women don't do heavy part as far as I have seen men are generally doing it.

For example Road construction, men and women do the same work. Small scale buildings, houses etc also.

Don't know the situation in India ofc but wages are a matter of individual negotiation in general in most countries and the average woman isn't as good at it as the average man. Simple really. In my student job a girl finished university (engineering) and she actually did a bet with us that she wouldn't find a job for € 3000 per month (before taxes). Then, when she was asked how much she wants to earn in her job interview, she responded "€ 3000 would be nice" and she got the job. In reality she could have earned closer to € 4000. € 3000 for an engineer in Germany is super low, almost an insult. Women.

No women just load the bricks and all such things. The actual construction is always done by males. The thing is the art of building construction is dominated by males and so it passes from male to male. U will rarely see any women actual doing the construction. It leads automatically to reduce women as mere helpers who atmost do cement mixing and materials carrying.

Depends on how productive they are. But if they do exactly the same job and get paid less for it, it's obviously wrong.

The problem is that both are doing the same job in some construction fields but men are paid more because they are more efficient. It's not like women are not trying hard... Contractor will make sure both work until their spinal chord breaks.
