You get a 4 point bonus if you make the CL groups. England has 4 teams. Italy has 2. So England starts the season with 8 points more. Note that this will be divided amongst 7 teams, so in coefficient terms it amounts to a little more than a point gap.

I don't think anyone really understands your argument.

Most teams play a mix of starters and reserves in the early stages of this tournament (Not just the EPL).

The team Pool put out man to man was better than the team they played.

Pool is still putting 100 mill out on the pitch even with a diminished roster so they are operating on a whole different level than most of there opponents as is the case with most EPL teams.

Are you really going to sit here and say Pool's PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALLERS didn't try today? Or that the club instructed them to lose?

Are you saying Bordeaux had better players on the field?

What exactly is your point because again at this stage most teams don't play there best 11 yet Liverpool and most EPL teams have resources others can only dream about. Again the advantage is still with them.

Spurs just went ahead in Monaco through Lamela. They've put out a strong team:

Lloris; Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Dier, Alli; Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli; Kane

Else where, Lazio are drawing 1-1 with St-Etienne, Fiorentina are 1-0 up at Belenenses, Schalke are 2-0 up against Asteras and Augsburg are losing at home to Partizan Belgrade.
