This thread is to be used for housing the links to and the discussion of fantasy football leagues for the 2014/2015 season. Due to a lack of consistent interest in fantasy leagues for Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1, etc. we do no have plans to create GL leagues for these competitions. However, should you wish to have your league added please PM me and I will update this OP with the links and codes/passwords to join. All members are welcome to play and compete and the banter that comes along with that is encouraged. Please try to keep it clean and within forum rules, though.

Alright, here we go. First up is the H2H leagues:
As a refresher, the original announcement and information about the H2H leagues and their structure is included in the spoiler (warning: this is a wall of text)
Congrats to Eman and zenmaster on winning their respective titles! To everyone else: thank you for participating and better luck next season!
We WILL be doing a promotion/relegation system if we have enough turnover of participants between seasons, so be prepared for a bit more craziness as I attempt to get that worked out later this summer and keep an eye out for announcements about sign-up.
Now without further ado, here are the tables:

Zenmaster, Kamikaze, and Mole will be promoted into League 1 while B-Mac, ExtremistEnigma, and El Shaarawy face relegation into League 2 (not that these may not be the CURRENT usernames).
If you did not participate in the head-to-head leagues last season but would like to this year please let me know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. RG and I will begin sending out the passcode to the appropriate members tomorrow, and the deadline will be August 5th for new members to notify me of interest.

- Alright, so our ideas/plans for the H2H league(s) are fairly simple and very ambitious. We hope to create multiple 20-person head-to-head leagues in the PL fantasy game and organise them in a tiered structure mimicking the structure of national club football systems. The standings will be recorded for each league at the end of the season and we will implement a 3-up, 3-down promotion/relegation system. The creating Admin or Mod for each league will PM the members of their respective leagues with the passwords needed to sign up.
This is all based on the hope that we will have enough interest to create multiple leagues, however. All of the actual work will be done by RG, DTOR, and I* so all that is required of participants is that they play the fantasy game, are willing to try to continue with it into next season (no requirements or obligatory commitments), and that anyone definitely interested let us know as soon as possible so that we can get the leagues up and running prior to the first match day.
*other Admins for group moderation if necessary and information/tools provided by DTOR.
As stated at the beginning, this is a very ambitious project that is being undertaken by RG, DTOR, and I and we want to have as many participants as possible. We would absolutely love to see this become an established and long-lasting tradition that can provide another level of experience for everyone on the forum. Because this is the original year we do need to know who is going to participate AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Following the experiences of the past season it seems that there consistent interest over the course of the season is NOT strong or stable enough to include rewards or a third tier. In fact, depending on how (in)consistent participation and interest is in the H2H leagues this season, it may not be continued for the 2015/16 season. That will be reviewed next summer.- Head-to-Head Rules:
- Due to the many questions regarding how a head-to-head league works, here is the PL sites official explanation for the scoring system:
Basically it's set up like a regular football league. Each week you face off against one opponent and the winner from that week gets 3 points while the other gets none. Whoever gets the most points from head-to-head match-ups over the course of the season wins.Head-to-Head Scoring
In a league with Head-to-Head each team plays a match against another team in the league each Gameweek. The match result is based on the Gameweek score of each team minus any transfer points spent preparing for the Gameweek.
3 points are awarded for a win and 1 point for a draw, teams are then ranked on points earned in Head-to-Head matches.
Head-to-Head fixtures are generated at the start of the league's first Gameweek. Once these fixtures have been generated the league is locked and teams will not be able to join or leave.
If a Head-to-Head league has an odd number of teams then an average team will join the league to ensure each team has a fixture every Gameweek. This team will always score the Gameweek average.
In the event of a tie between teams, the team who has most game points will be positioned higher.

Which is exactly the point I've made. Despite my desire to do this, it's clear that about 80% of people fail to consistently keep up with their teams for more than half the season; that makes the competition effectively worthless for the amount of effort that must be put it to set it up and keep it organized season-to-season.

What RO? Maybe that's mostly in league 2 but interest was high in the H2H for league one right up until the end.
It's only the bottom guys like B-Mac, etc who just didn't update their teams as the season progressed.

Yea it's a big problem when 50% of the teams give up halfway through and the competition becomes crap since you are beating dead teams.
I think it's fair to say that ONLY those who are willing to stay active till at least the last 3 rounds (in case most of the positions are already determined and there are dead rubber matches), should participate this time.

Oh I wasn't suggesting there should only be one league. I know there can be lots of fun in a tiered system if we do this for a long time.
Maybe the best way is like RG said. Those who believe there's a way they can lose interest throughout the season need to cut themselves.

H2H is better than Classic for banter. We should have H2H. Would it be unfair to take those who stayed active last season and put them in their own H2H league? You can pretty much tell who were active throughout the campaign last season. For instance, those with less than 1750 total points probably did not stay active.
Ps. The kick-off date in the OP is wrong and the year is wrong in the title, but 5/5 for the effort.

Thanks for the heads up on the incorrect dates, Morte.
Given that we clearly aren't competent enough to do dates, I do think that completely reworking the H2H leagues and deviating from the intended plan as it was envisioned might perhaps be a bit much to take care of for us. Also, it sorta defeats the entire purpose for which the H2H league(s) was/were originally created.
