Player training is limited to only five players per week and have you have to perform mini-games/training drills. That sounds like it'd get tedious very quickly. I feel that something like that is best left as a passive action that occurs in the background.

"Realistic transfers" is too vague at this point. "We've tuned the number of big players moving" - great, but that's just a single area of the transfer market.

Career mode stuff sounds good, although i question what they consider to be realistic budgets and transfers

Agreed, it'll be fun the first time around but 6 months in, it might get tedious like you said.

Though, from this picture i think you'll have the option to simulate trainings

There's a training thing in PES like that, albeit more limited.... Get's boring as hell very quickly.

Tbh i'm more intrigued by the pre season tournaments than anything else. Unless of course the realistic transfers and budget is actually legit

Gonna do a Real Madrid career mode to do a pre season tournament, just so I can get an extra 10m added to dat 200m budget.

Pre-season tournaments - and pre-season in general - would be more interesting if match fitness and tactical familiarity was actually a thing. Sort of like in FM.

I do habitually sim friendlies, though.

On career mode I always obsess over getting as many top full backs as I can cause they all suck, and it was *bleep* hilarious because throughout about 12 seasons Milan spent like ALL of their money buying my top class full backs. At one stage they had 3 of the top 5 left backs that i'd sold them down the years (Usually when I produced some beasts from the academy) and they never played them

They always played Didac or some shit, it was ridiculous. Must've spent over 100M on buying my full backs just to bench them.


Could be worse I guess, could be fifa 13 where Udinese would always play Di Natale at LM AKA LWB in a 3-5-1-1 until he retired.

I never played them because seeing a 60 year old striker at wing back broke any small sense of immersion I could get from career mode.

Any news on new leagues/teams added apart from the Women national teams? I want to see the day Venezuela actually gets proper naming licenses and not just generated fictional players.

my personal favourite is watching an overall 58 CB lining up a free kick from 80 yards as if he's squaring up a shot, or when somebody scores a tap in and u get 2 replays, a slow mo replay then a 4th replay just after kick off when somebody shoots/fouls
