He's been our best player in the 2nd half of the season.
And not one person (including Coutinho) put any sort of decent performances in the first half apart from Raheem that's just faded in the second half.

For a bit of fun, put these players in order from best to worst in terms how good a season they've had in your opinion:
Mata
Mané
Yaya Toure
Sterling
Chadli
Cazorla

Yeah that was funny

very tough, but the top 2 are pretty much clear imo in,Art Morte wrote:For a bit of fun, put these players in order from best to worst in terms how good a season they've had in your opinion:

Cazorla
Mané
then it is something like this,
Chadli (had a good start, then fell off somehow)
Mata (good spell for a stretch)
Sterling (good in patches here and there)
Yaya Toure (showed his class here and there as well, but rather more seldomly)

Coutinho didn't win player of the season lol
While Coutinho wasn't great in the first half he certainly didn't cost us any games, while in the second half he definitely won us games. Mignolet probably single-handedly was costing us games at one point, was dropped for Brad Jones and later in the season he was fantastic, but not PotS for me.

Henderson, Coutinho or Skrtel would have been my player of the season for us. I can't really make a difference between those three.

Henderson and Coutinho. Skrtel was insulated too much in the second half for me. He didn't make nearly as big of an impact on the team in general, and our defensive play was just as good without him after switching formations.
That's not a condemnation of Skrtel btw, he played really well this year after our early season struggles (though he still had brainfarts here and there) but he was nowhere near as influential on the team's 'success' as Coutinho and Henderson were.

Buying Aston Villa for £150m probably wouldn't be too bad a decision.

Crazy that a club like that would go for so little. All the new owners would have to do is not get relegated for a few seasons and make that money back from the new TV deals alone
